Sorry to say we placed our first order with Happy Family Restaurant and it will definitely be the last! Half of our order was incorrect (we ordered one fried rice and they gave us three and charged us for all) and we found hair imbedded in the rice and in the chow mein. We called to provide them feedback and the person answering the phone yelled at us and flat out told us we were lying. We told them we weren't asking for any corrections just giving them feedback and the owner was Extremely rude and horrible. She told us her husband forgot to turn the heat on the rice so she put it in the microwave for us so it would be hot. We sent them a picture of the hair in the to-go container (sitting on our red placemat) and they told us it was in our sink and that we planted the hair in the food on the way home from picking it up. Turns out those two items are not compatible. You must be a vegetarian to get vegetable egg foo young. Therefore you cannot have pork fried rice. Trying to get sweet and sour chicken blew the whole thing up and I realized there was going to be zero chance of me getting anything I wanted. Read moreMy husband ordered food there the other day and when he got home to Oregon City he noticed that we were charged $97 dollars for 2 meals and a couple of sides. We have eaten here a lot in the past and NEVER spent over $40 for this same order that we just paid $97 for. We didn’t want to drive all the way back and communication is hard over the phone, so we just took it as a loss. I love this place and they have such good food and the ladies are nice, but I don’t see myself going back there since they what seems to be double charged us.
