Some of the best bartenders for 100 miles work here. Brandon is a great mixoligist who has extebsice knwledge about the best drinks. The evening late night bartenders are impeccable at creating an enjoyable atmosphere for any group or slow night. I love this place so much it has become a staple and a standard by which I judge other bars. Don't get me wrong, Sams is a local bar filled with local folks. Most of the patrons are easy going, hard working people, that just enjoy the bar life. Great atmosphere to start or end a night. Because of this bar I have sought out local towny bars in other towns/cities like in Florence, Italy or New Orleans, LA. I had managed to find local pubs off the beaten path because of my extensive pleasurable experiences at Sams. I will forever live this place for the beer choices, excellent cocktails, but especially the atmosphere created and maintained by the bartenders...

This bar is in the area where people walk from bar to bar. They have a female bartender who tells regular customers (who tip well ) not to use the bathroom if they don't purchase something. Others here are great and they give excellent service. This review is specifically because of this bartender. I'm not naming her because she knows who she is, and so do regulars. She's known for throwing people out, and for rude service. If I come back and she's the one working, I will leave, or not tip her. She has to be friends or something with the owner because customer service...

I was a designated driver and it was blizzard like conditions outside. As soon as I entered this establishment I went to use the restroom and decided against it. bathroom was dirty, no doors on the stalls, door didn’t close all the way, and it smelled of stale urine. It was only 8pm and the bartender told me I had to leave because I couldn’t present my ID (it was left in the car in the blizzard) I didn’t order drinks and it was only 8pm. Will not return and I will encourage my friends...
