Super nice and friendly guys manning the food truck when we got there. They were right in the midst of making the food for our order, so we knew it was well-prepared and fresh. They were kind enough to tell us how their food truck got started, and the inspiration behind it, which is always fun and nice to hear because it makes the experience and food so much more personable. Regarding the food: it was tasty, and the portion size for each order was bigger than we expected (this is not a complaint). The chicken, ribs, and pulled pork were quite tender and juicy. However, the brisket tasted a little overcooked, which resulted in a slight toughness to it, and the mesquite flavor in all the meats was overwhelming after a few bites. I'm certain some people like a lot of that smoky flavor, but for my family and me, it was just a little too much. Their BBQ sauce actually tastes more like a spicy salsa, which I personally wasn't fond of. The macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, and jalapeño rice were all quite delicious though. I drive a black sports car. I demand only the best bbq. This place has it. This little cart is a gem. Take the time to get out there. You wont be disappointed.

Homemade. That's the name of the game here. Everything has a unique flavor. The sauces are definitely a one-of-kind flavor. The regular sauce is tangy and balanced. The spicy sauce has just enough heat to call it spicy, but not too much for those that are comfortable with some heat.

Large portions make it a good value.

The side choices are really special. You can tell these are made by hand. Mac and Cheese is dense and cheese is high quality. But the side that steals the show is the jalapeno rice. This is a family special - you wont find this rice anywhere else. I bought a tub!

Ribs Plate - delicious meat that falls off the bone. Perfectly cooked

Brisket plate - cooked perfectly and melts in your mouth. Breaks apart the way brisket is supposed to.

Pulled pork sandwich - you get a choice of bread. Pork is juicy and soft. You can get the sauce on the side and add as much as you prefer.

If you find yourself craving delicious smoked meats, the this is your place. Stopped by for dinner and I have to say, I was highly impressed. We were greeted by the staff and ended up having a great conversation while deciding on what to order. I ended up with sliced brisket (well worth the $6 over the chopped brisket) and pulled pork. I went with cole slaw and baked beans for my sides. Both meats had excellent smoke flavor. Both sides were also on point and complimented the meats well. My friend had the chopped brisket with ribs and his assessment was the same as mine. He stated the ribs had the right amount of pull of the bone.
