In September we had out-of-state relatives drop in following the unexpected death of a family member. We placed a $60 breakfast order for delivery to get some food in the house for everyone. McDonald's in Monongahela got EVERYTHING wrong. The entire order. Even the coffee and drinks. Lg. Black Coffees, loaded with cream and sugar.. Egg McMuffins, with no eggs. Big Breakfasts, no eggs, biscuits, hashbrowns or muffins and this goes on.. No syrup or butter for the pancakes, no ketchup for the eggs, no napkins, no straws, etc .. Every single item was either completely wrong, missing or without a major component like the EGG on the Egg McMuffin. So I called the restaurant, asked to speak to the "manager" , and said "hello, I just received" and before I said another word, he said, "Oh, yeah, you're the big delivery order...yeah, everything was all messed up...we were slammed. " And then he said, "Can I help you with something? Oh except redelivering the order... we couldn't do that... we're still way too busy to do that. " I honestly didn't know whether to laugh or cry. All I've been doing for days was crying because of our family situation and now this kid (sounded like a kid) was spazzing on the phone so I asked him to calm down and tell me what would be the easiest for him and he said that would be replacing the order. I told him that would be fine and he took my name and address and he said I would be receiving a gift card from McDonald's in the mail for the replacement cost of the order. BUT WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED? First, after 2 weeks, nothing happened. I never heard a thing from McDonald's in Monongahela. But, I was preoccupied anyway. Still they should have honored their promise. Week 3, I called and an adult "manager" told me that my gift card just got mailed out that morning... Wow, what a coincidence and I decided to call that very same day? Anyway, another 2 weeks pass and what shows up in my mailbox to replace my $60 entirely wrong order placed over a month ago?
An index card inviting me back to McDonald's to enjoy.. A FREE EXTRA VALUE MEAL
WITH THE PURCHASE OF AN EXTRA VALUE MEAL OF EQUAL OR LESSER VALUE.
Are they serious?
Not only am I NOT going to enjoy a "free" meal if I spend more money at this McDonald's in Monongahela, I'm not going to spend another dime at this man's other McDonald's in Belle Vernon or Charleroi either. And if I happen to find out he owns any other McDonald's, I will update this list just in case there are any other people out there who believe, like I do, that MONEY TALKS, and the AMERICAN CONSUMER, has the most powerful voice in this Nation, if they would only USE it.
Your money talks for you. Where you spend it, What you spend it on, Who you spend it with... Voices your opinion every single time you conduct a monetary transaction (I. e... spend a dime)
If you spend money with people or businesses who you know have cheated you, your family, your friends, neighbors or even strangers... You're accepting their practices. So, you can't complain when it happens to you. And it will.
Whenever you pull into a parking lot of a business you know has done someone wrong... Ask yourself how long would it really take to just go somewhere else. I guarantee you, the person that was hurt by the business you're about to give your money to... they're worth it. And the reason behind your choice of where to spend your money... Just spoke LOUD AND CLEAR.
McDonald's in Monongahela thinks I'm going to give them more money for cheating me out of $60 already?
DO THEY THINK ALL OF THEIR CUSTOMERS ARE IDIOTS?
They must. Why else would they print up these little index cards just to get us back to their restaurant to spend more money after they just wronged us?
I'm out $60 for a completely wrong order delivered to my grieving family that McDonald's admitted they knew was wrong before they sent it and offered me a Big Mac Meal to make everything...
Read moreI am changing the rating i gave them, not sure what is going on there but it seems to be a management problem. from some one who has seen her share of restaurants and how they work from the inside this place is in sad shape. I recently waited for 20 minutes for a large coffee and an egg mcmuffin at 8 am. then got the complete wrong order. understandably accidents happen but as i pull up to the second window a very stressed out woman on the verge of tears was trying her best while some young lil thing with a ponytail was behind her offering no help at all and just yelling and degrading her. it was this poor womans first attempt at running this particular station. GET IT TOGETHER MANAGEMENT. you are setting your employees up for failure, you most certainly do NOT throw some one to the wolves in the middle of the morning rush with no experience, or help. Poor lady didn't even know where anything was over there.this is a management and scheduling issue in my eyes. people standing around over whelmed all over the place trying to figure out how to do their jobs. Where is management? A good manager is there and makes sure their employees have what they need to be able to do their job. management should be fired in my opinion, unless they themselves are new. in that case where is their training to become a great manager and run the place. ugh terrible... One year later, still worst service ever, cold food, wrong orders, 25 minutes waiting is the normal here, even when business is slow it's a total waste of...
Read moreThis review is all about the PlayPlace. 1. There are cigarette butts EVERYWHERE! On the ground and stuffed in the holes in the tables. Truly disgusting! 2. Apparently, people are allowed to be in the area without children and smoke and loiter and just overall be creepy. (I asked him to stop smoking and he did and said that the guy inside said he could as long as he was away from the kids, like that makes smoking in a CHILD'S PLAYGROUND OK...P.S. I'm sure he lied) 3. Everything is falling apart and extremely dirty. 4. The door was not unlocked so that you could go back inside and I had to knock on the door to get someone to let me in and then a manager fixed it. I had not realized there was an issue with the door and had wondered why the creepy guy had gone out the side gate AND LEFT IT OPEN just to go back inside and come out that way. When I told him he shouldn't leave the gate open, he muttered something about me talking to him and then lied and said it was already open and he didn't know. In hindsight, I wish I would have kicked him out or got a manager to do it, but there is that fear of "making a scene" or him going crazy on me. Never again. This was my first time in the Playplace since I was a kid and I will never go back. They need to rip it out!
Maybe one day I'll talk with a manager, but I doubt it'd do any good because, 1. They haven't fixed any of the other constant issues and 2. If they can't see such an obvious problem, or they do and choose to ignore it, then me pointing it out won't...
