I should have read the reviews first....I understand prices have gone up everywhere but the "menu" online and the "new" menu shouldn't be a a $16 difference. So what I thought would be 40 turned out 56...UPDATE YOUR MENU ONLINE. People ordering over the phone done have your "new" prices.
Ok...so I order the Jumbo garlic shrimp platter and bf got half rack pork ribs with 2 small sides..mac n cheese and veggies...the woman at counter was super sweet even without apologizing for the unexpected price hike. Got my food she put in a paper bag and headed home...dripping butter everywhere ..lol The portion size for the ribs was not what im used to seeing.. Bf said they were too tough like overcooked. He tried the veggies..waaaay to much salt... my shrimp...insane amount of salt..I even tried rinsing them but still waay to salty. No way we could eat it. We boxed it back up.
By this time its 730 and they are closed..so i returned the next day for a refund..the woman didnt know how to do it so 45 min later of me waiting while she talked to owner..I get told the owner will issue the refund and text me when its done..they did apologize and offer some free steamed shrimp...i politely declined. ..that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is the absolute worst experience I have ever had dining out in my entire life and would give negative stars if possible. The fact this place has 5 stars absolutely blows my mind. First of all, after waiting 50 minutes, they asked us our name and what we ordered because they lost the ticket so it was never made. They said 5 minutes. 20 minutes later I asked for a simple refund and they said well then give us all the food back we already made which was sitting on the counter and freezing cold after the whole ordeal. The woman at the cash register said and I quote āwhy donāt you stick your finger in it to see if itās still hot.ā The worst part I would say is the intense smell of marijuana coming from the rear of restaurant where I clearly saw 3 or 4 children under 10 running around. Please understand I have worked in the restaurant business for 15 years and this was just absolute disgrace. They refunded me after an hour and gave us the food but the lobster tail was about the size of half of a table spoon handle and the chowder had at least 10 pieces of seafood shell in it. Problem #2 I ordered cabbage which was swimming in oil. It had no flavor no seasoning was used at all just a little red bell pepper to give it color. I had to ask for salt to at least to get a little flavor. Problem #3 i asked for garlic shrimp i didnāt realize I would have to peel it and clean it before i eat them.(my shrimp needs to be cleaned so i didnāt take not one bite)When I asked if they have garlic shrimp that is peeled and cleaned already the woman at the counter said no. Problem #4 black eyed peasā¦. Again no seasoning. Problem #5 i had to ask for salt to try and eat this soaked in oil cabbage and to try and eat the black eye peas⦠well you can see what I got.
