I would never ever in my life go back to this location of IHOP in Williamstown !!! They are the worst customer service that I have ever experienced in my life! NOT, not worth it! I am so disgusted. Go elsewhere! On Sunday 21, 2024, I was in the area of Williamstown New Jersey, so I decided to submit an online order, but was having trouble with making changes to a specific combo, so I called the store for assistance. The attendant told me to go ahead and complete my order online and she took my notes and said will take it to the back for the guys to complete. I arrived within 10 minutes to the curbside pick up order that was “available” online. Upon arrival I went into the app where the app requested my parking location, car color and make or model. I completed that information and after 20 minutes of waiting in my car, I decided to go inside to pick up. All employees were walking around… Yet I was waiting in my car for 20 minutes. When I gave my name for my order, I asked if there were any notes that I had requested for my combo. She seemed very confused and disoriented, her only response was that she did not know! Perhaps it was her first day on the job? I asked if she can check the order because it was a big bag, but no counterspace for me to do so myself, and just stood there with no response whatsoever! I had to make space on a very limited counter that was full of pick up order receipts, to look in the bag and realize the changes had not been made. I told the young lady and she said she was going to the back and ask the guys, almost 20 minutes later she comes back and says that they are not allowed to make any changes. However, the person who answered the phone that was taking my notes, did not inform me of that, she went ahead to take my request and said she would give that info to the cooks. By that point, I was really frustrated and approached, who seemed like a manager, and he said he was an “assistant” manager. Explained the entire situation and seemed very unprofessional and did not show any interest whatsoever to solve the problem? So what is he there for??? Seemed just as clueless as me. His remarks were “I don’t know how this happened”? Then, proceeded to go to the back to grab items that were missing. Meanwhile, I go back to the bag to check everything else and of course the entire order was wrong!!! Had enough. It had been over an hour back-and-forth. As I am telling the attendant I just want to cancel my order and get out of there to go somewhere else, The “assistant manager” shows up with some tiny containers of toppings. So he hears I’m saying I just want to cancel the order and want my money back. Then another lady comes out of nowhere I guess she was listening and tells me I have to request a refund through the app! So I grabbed my phone and was going to the app to try to figure it out, but then comes the “assistant manager” and says that the only way to get a refund is through corporate that they would submit the receipt and I should receive it between 5 to 7 business days! So I leave. But then I went back because now I have no receipt or evidence that I requested a refund. For all I know they can say that I took the food with me. So when I go back, I speak to this guy and he said sure I can make you a “note.” And he proceeds to pull out a little bit of the white receipt paper from the little receipt, dispensing machine and wrote did not take order from IHOP and a signature that I did not understand so I requested for him to spell his name. At least he did, which is in the photo attached. There were no apologies, no effort or knowledge of how to handle the situation. I am just utterly outrage! Starting from management, they all need to be fired!!! But when I finally left,… I went to their competition restaurant and my order was taken in less than two minutes by courteous knowledgeable, employees! And in another three minutes, I was out the door! BTW My order had no errors and nothing missing!!! Please do yourself a favor and never support this...
Read moreTerrible service from the beginning when we arrived there was no one to seat us, when they were going to seat us it was awkward that the host asked the waiters if they wanted to serve us, and one of the other waitresses said no because I'm busy, then she I asked another and she didn't want it very well, the host took us to the table which wasn't even clean we had to wait for her to clean it, she cleaned it and said she was going for the cutlery, she never came back with the cutlery, after eating For a while the waitress went to our table to ask about the drinks, we ordered the drinks and along with the drinks we ordered a side of fries for the baby, the fries took more than 1 hour to come out, after a while we asked her about the fries She said she was going to check, it seemed like she had never ordered them, after that it took a while for the waitress to go back to the table, time passed, she came over and we ordered the food, there were 6 different dishes, supposedly she was writing down the entire order after waiting more It took 2 hours for the food to come out when in reality they weren't busy there were hardly any people, many minutes passed, he brought us a side of strawberries, the baby was hungry and the potatoes never came out, then he brought us the order of potatoes, then he brought two more plates and the last one brought an omelette and the girl said if everything was fine, we told her that we were missing 3 more dishes that were 2 burritos and some crepes, she with a bad face turned around and left then she gave us the excuse that the kitchen I was stuck when I never actually placed the order, she approached the table again and said that the burritos bowl would be out in a few minutes when we never ordered a burrito bowl, it was a regular burrito she again acted rude and aggressive, you talk to her and tell her We said that we didn't want anything anymore. He was a person with a bad attitude and he doesn't know how to serve customers. I'm a waitress and I really know how to be nice to people and when I know that I was wrong, I accept it and apologize. I hope you have a talk with She is not a way of treating clients, believe me I know the job of a waitress, she does not have the charisma to be one, finally we asked for the check, it took her more than 20 minutes to bring it, we got up from the table and she gave us dirty looks, then she gave us the check, which by the way was the wrong one, I went to her and told her that this was not my check, it was more than 100 dollars, she with the same rude attitude revoked the ticket and gave me the correct one after that I tried to be nice but no It seemed to me her behavior, she began to secrete herself with another waitress when in reality that is wrong and she must accept her mistakes, VERY BAD SERVICE I HOPE...
Read moreOn Sunday, we visited the IHOP in Williamstown, NJ. We had been here before, but it had been a while. About two weeks ago, we went to the IHOP in Cherry Hill, NJ, and while we didn’t intend to compare, it just so happened that our previous visit gave us a clear idea of how things should be—especially since we ordered the exact same items this time. Unfortunately, the experience was vastly different.
First, the service was slow. While the coffee arrived quickly, our actual order—the Fajita Omelette and Avocado Bacon Eggs Benedict—took quite some time. We weren’t in a rush, so we didn’t mind too much, but the quality of the food was disappointing. And plus, it's Sunday at 11am, we understand there's a lot of customers.
The omelette was half the size (width-wise) compared to the one from Cherry Hill. Luckily, we had a picture from our previous visit for comparison because we couldn’t believe how different it was. While omelettes at IHOP are mostly eggs with toppings added for presentation, the difference was so obvious we had to check. On top of that, it was missing the sour cream and salsa that usually come with the Fajita Omelette. Again, our previous picture confirmed the difference.
The Eggs Benedict was another letdown. The egg seems overcooked (hard-boiled) instead of poached. A proper Eggs Benedict should have a soft yolk that mixes with the sauce when cut, but that wasn’t the case here. Additionally, there was very little bacon and avocado.
For the kids' meal, we specifically asked for the chocolate chips and whipped cream on the side, but that request wasn’t followed.
To their credit, the staff did replace the Eggs Benedict, added the missing salsa and sour cream, and corrected the pancake order. However, with food prices rising, we expect our meals to resemble what’s advertised. Getting it wrong on one of the order is okay, but 3 wrong out of 3 items seems difficult to accept. The IHOP in Cherry Hill served dishes that closely matched the menu, but this location was far from it.
To top it off, we noticed a nearby college student struggling with his order. He had gotten the Pancake of the Month (a chocolate-flavored one), but after a few bites, he left about three-quarters of it untouched—probably because he didn’t enjoy it.
In the end, we still paid full price, but overall, this visit was very disappointing. We’ll probably avoid this location for a while. If you like this place, I suggest you visit another iHop...
