Denny's — Restaurant in Monroe Township

Was in yesterday afternoon after all the church goers and it was busy in there, I get that. Sat and waited for our server to come to the table for like 10 mins. When she finally came to take our drink order it was like she was in such a rush to even listen to me finish talking. I asked for a water and a coffee and asked if she could bring some cream and sugar because there was none stocked on the table. When she came back she just brought coffee and cream no sugar, but said she would grab some then and then took our order. My son wanted the patty melt but we asked if we could get a side of au jus because there was another sandwich that had a side of it. She said she didn’t know but she would ask. Walked away before we could say anything else. Never came back, never refilled my coffee. Food took like 45 mins for two sandwiches and fries, mine was just a club which really didn’t involve any cooking. But that whole time the server never came back to the table until the food came out dropped it off said she forgot to ask about au jus but she would. Never came back. Never checked on us. But then dropped the check off and walked away again. We needed boxes, my son went up and asked for some from the server, she never brought any. And then I just went up and paid and got some from the woman who checked me out who was very nice. Just a terrible experience. Our silverware was dirty. But thankfully we really didn’t need it. The floor and booths looked like they hadn’t been cleaned or wiped down in weeks. I almost didn’t want to eat and almost walked out before the food even came out because of how terrible the service was. The food was alright. I just suggest slicing the avocados instead of doing wedges in the sandwhich so they actually stay in. I’m also a server, so I know how the food industry works. But that is certainly not it and will not be...

Giving 2 stars because this isn’t our servers fault, but we expected a lot more from Denny’s. They had a sign on the door that they were closing early due to staffing shortages, which is fine we made it with plenty of time. They were closing at 7:30, we got there at 6:15. We were seated immediately and the dining room was busy with our server being the only one on so drinks and ordering took a minute, but we understand. After being seated, we were SWARMED with gnats. They were flying all around us close to the drink station. We asked if we could move, and our server said yes so we did. When our salad came out, we were once again SWARMED with gnats. I couldn’t keep them away from my mom’s salad for her to hardly eat it. Our food came out quickly, but the burger was insanely greasy, which some people like but I did not, it made my stomach hurt. Got to the end of my fries and found a pet hair. The dining room was busy, so our server didn’t get the chance to get refills. My mom got one but I never did (not his fault, he was the only one who showed up.) When I went to the register, I told the server about the hair in my burger and he was understanding and apologized and comped my burger. When I was walking back to my table, I heard him yell it to the cook, and she yelled back “Did she complain…?”

We went in whole floor was soaking wet no wet signs were out. I’m handicap and walk with a cane then seats and tables were available but instead they took me to the far end of the building to see us ordered eggs over medium slimy. You couldn’t even eat them then I ordered English muffin, and the girl wanted to argue for five minutes that I ordered hashbrowns with with cheese, which I did not, she never came back to see if If everything was OK, then she got into a screaming match with some girl who suggested that they take it outside. I think that would’ve been a good idea. This one wants out the entire meal as I got ready to get her tip and order she was swearing profanity over my shoulder in front of my granddaughter, which I did not appreciate her filthy language, so we proceed to the front for food, swearing yelling, and screaming continues at this point many of the customers are on I’ve been a shift manager many years at Pizza Hut and I have never saw such foolishness and all my life that were cursing and screaming the weight I will never stop here again as long as I live and from the looks of your weight staff and their attitudes I’m quite sure nobody cares.
