Amazing business run by honest and caring people. Came through the drive through with a relatively large order and they weren't able to fill it immediately, so I pulled around to park and walk inside. They had originally told me that it would only be a few minutes, but it ended up taking a little longer than expected. When everything was ready she threw in a bag of donut holes as an apology for taking so long. Why change the recipe? This used to be mine and my family's favorite donut shop. I usually stop and get donuts for they guys at work at least a couple of times a week. Lately my co-workers and I have noticed that they do not taste the same and I went from loving the donuts to not able to finish one. Weird after taste and the do not melt in your mouth as before. I was visiting family while in Monroe, Louisiana I'm from Decatur, Illinois. Family brought me here before I left to go back to Illinois because I wanted local donuts. The cheese dog kolaches are wonderful, the round glazed is good, and the cinnamon sugar powder coated twists are good! The prices are fair and the staff was so sweet and explained to me what everything was, especially the kolaches, which we call "pig in a blanket" and don't sell at donut shops.
