Me and 6 coworkers went in for lunch today, as we do every couple of weeks. The food is always amazing, and usually so is the service. Today, we were shocked with how bad our service was. The girl waiting on us took all of our orders and read them back to us twice. Everything sounded correct. Once our food came out, one of my coworker’s meals was wrong. The waitress (not sure of her name but she had star tattoos above her eye) insisted that this was what she ordered and said “I read it back to you and you said it was right”. My coworker expressed that what she read back was right, but the food that came out was not. The waitress looked back at her iPad and looked confused and told the people in the kitchen “what is this? I didn’t order this!” Then came back out with the same bowl of food and again, said this was what was ordered. She then made a comment saying “see this is why I always read the order back twice so things like this don’t happen.” My coworker said it was okay and ate the food anyway. Never got an apology or an offer to get what she wanted. Two of my coworkers shared a meal and made that known, stating they would share and be on the same check. They were brought one plate of food and when one of them asked for an extra bowl to eat from, she was ignored and the waitress walked away. Then another coworker was missing part of her meal until we were about ready to leave. After the first mix up, we were continually snubbed and could hardly flag the waitress down. Yes she was the only waitress at the time, but there were only about 3 other tables sat. We were ignored and sped past the whole time. Once we were ready to leave, we expressed that everyone would be on separate checks aside from the two who shared. It took about 20 minutes to get it separated out and was still wrong by the end. We were just ready to leave. A different guy (who was working the front desk) ended up bringing our checks over in the black booklets and just set them down in a big stack on the table and walked away. We definitely didn’t feel that the experience was worth the gratuity. This was such a shock since we go there so often and always have received such awesome service. We either dine in or order to go two or three times a month. Sometimes 10-12 different orders, but we’ve never had this waitress before. Hopefully this get resolved so we can continue supporting what was one of our favorite...
Read moreBest ramen I’ve ever had. I’ve had ramen in Colorado, Texas, and even a hour away in Shreveport, but I’ve never had such flavorful and thought out ramen. The first time we went I got the tonkotsu ramen and my bf got the Shoyu ramen. This is the best tonkotsu bowl I’ve ever had. Every element was quality and clearly thought out. My bf’s shoyu wasn’t up my alley but I also just don’t care for shoyu ramen haha. The second time we went, I got the cold soba and he got the spicy miso shrimp ramen. My cold soba had so many fresh ingredients with quality taste. The only thing I didn’t care for was the amount of cucumbers because after a while the cucumbers get overwhelming/boring but the both and pork were SO tasty along with the plentiful green onions and bamboo shots. There was also a line of authentic-seeming wasabi! I was impressed as typically restaurants supply the cheap wasabi since real wasabi grows in extreme conditions for several months and can be expensive. My boyfriend’s dish was also FANTASTIC! So flavorful as well and the shrimp were jumbo not small! Had a perfect level of spice for me where it lingered there but didn’t hurt. My boyfriend needed a little more so he added chili oil and flakes. I wish I could upload photos but for some reason there is no option this time. The atmosphere is also top notch and pretty immersive in a Japanese-inspired restaurant. There’s a fake cherry blossom tree in the entrance, anime decorations everywhere, and even Japanese mask and more. They were playing Pokémon on the tv the second time we went. There is soy sauce, chili oil, and chili flakes on every table. Speaking of tables, the booths feel private because of the decorations and immersions which we very much enjoyed. The service is...
Read moreI’ve eaten at Naruto Ramen on multiple occasions, and the food is always immaculate—definitely some of the best ramen around. Service is usually solid too.
Unfortunately, my most recent experience was disappointing due to our server, Cheyenne. Her attitude was off from the start—unfriendly and dismissive. I ordered the Spicy Shrimp Miso, and when the food came out, we received one Spicy Shrimp Miso and one regular Spicy Miso. Since two of us had ordered the shrimp version, we asked about the mix-up.
Cheyenne insisted—confidently and incorrectly—that I had not ordered the shrimp version. After I pushed back, she checked her iPad, then tried to bring the bowl back to the kitchen, saying “Oh, I didn’t order this.” Moments later, she returned with the same bowl and told me it was mine—with no explanation.
After that, her service became noticeably cold. She checked on us briefly but clearly didn’t want to engage. To top it off, the 18% automatic gratuity felt undeserved given the experience.
I’ll definitely be back for the food, but I’ll be calling ahead to make sure Cheyenne isn’t...
