UPDATE / star rating from 3 to 5 Things sure can change in a year! Glad to say that I went back with the family and enjoyed an amazing meal after our previous visit was a little less than stellar.

Staff seemed genuinely happy to be there, place was very busy. Most tables were full and there were even diners enjoying the outdoor patio area during our visit. All of our food was brought to the table at the same time and we had a great dinner together.

So glad we decided to return!!

±+++++++++++++++++++++++++++ PREVIOUS 3 STAR REVIEW Party of 3 on a Sunday evening for dinner. Not busy, a few patrons at the bar and a few larger tables of guests enjoying their meals.

2 hostesses were on staff and seated us quickly.

Server came to table. After ordering drinks and nachos we ordered our meals and in a short period of time, 2 of our 3 meals were brought to the table by kitchen staff. We came to eat as a family and didn't want to start until we were all served. We waited and waited for the final plate.

Finally, our server returned to the table; not to see how our food was, but to refill our son's drink. We asked him about the 3rd plate. He apologized and asked what we ordered, went to the kitchen, and the meal was delivered shortly afterwards.

We came in to enjoy a family dinner and by the time we all had our meals, 2 meals were semi-warm. NONE (seriously none....hostesses, servers, bartender, kitchen staff, lady who brought chips out).....none of the employees were smiling, no one greeted us or even just said hi when we walked in.

Our server had an opportunity to really turn the situation around and he chose to simply blame the kitchen for the mistake, stating he didn't know why the kitchen didn't cook it when it was on the ticket.

The food was amazing!!! Huge portions, flavors were great!!! It was sooooo good!!

So I'm at a crossroads. Do I never go back because the service was horrible? Do I give it another shot or just order take out? We'll see. Luckily, there is no shortage of Mexican restaurants around so no need to spend money where I don't feel...

San Andres Mexican Restaurant: A Love Letter to Tequila and the Greatest Burrito Never Written

You ever walk into a place and just know you’re about to make some questionable decisions? That’s San Andres, and I mean that in the best possible way.

Let’s start with the bartenders—absolute rockstars. These magicians behind the counter could probably mix a margarita blindfolded, mid-earthquake, and still get the salt rim perfect. They don’t just pour drinks; they curate experiences. Need a cocktail that reminds you of poor life choices and even poorer decisions? They’ve got you. Want something that tastes like liquid vacation? Done. I’m convinced they don’t serve drinks—just bottled confidence and regret, shaken, not stirred.

Now, let’s talk about The Burrito. Not just any burrito—my burrito. This wasn’t on the menu, which makes it cooler than your average order. Imagine the lovechild of sizzling fajitas and a burrito the size of a toddler. It had the perfect sear, the kind of flavor that makes you momentarily black out in joy, and enough meat to make a Texas BBQ pitmaster jealous. It wasn’t just food; it was a religious experience wrapped in a tortilla.

San Andres isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a lifestyle. If you want a quiet, boring meal, go somewhere else. But if you want top-tier bartenders who mix drinks with the precision of brain surgeons and a burrito so legendary it should have its own Wikipedia page, this...

The manager was completely in experienced, she had no knowledge of alcohol and state laws pertaining to an ID. My wife, who is clearly of age when sitting with our 15 and 18 year old children, the manager refused to serve her a margarita due to not having her ID with her so she showed the waitress a picture a picture of her ID and the manager came up and the waitress asked in Spanish if she could accept a picture of it, which digital ID Is a proper form of identification in the state of Georgia! And the waitress said I have seen them in here before and have served them, the manager still speaking in Spanish clearly and very obviously avoiding a conversation with us to discuss and ran off quick. My family , and the other family that was with us will not be back and we go to this restaurant a lot! I have seen underage kids numerous times being served. How they acted about and handled it was completely out of line and...

We sat for forever while tables around us, that sat after us, were helped. I asked one waitress to find ours and she said she would be never spoke to us again. Then I asked another girl who went ahead and just took our order. We never found out who our waitress was supposed to be. Chips were not the best, came in small baskets, and not refilled without asking. Queso was fine. The Tortillas they use are awful. My kids would not touch their Quesadilla or Soft Taco. And the rice had some strange seasoning in it. Kid meals are very expensive at $9 so I wasted $18 on the kids. I did appreciate the amount of cheese on the Nachos but the beef and chips just weren't as expected and the Nachos were immediately soggy. Then I was charged for kids drinks when it is included and I had to have it removed. Whole experience was bad, took too long, was too expensive, and we left with no idea who our waitress was supposed to be.

It was our first time here and we were so impressed! Food was literally a 10/10 and the drinks were delicious too, although the Frida margarita could have had a little bit more alcohol as it was batched out in large jug. The actual restaurant interior is beautiful and we really chose to stop to eat here because the patio caught our eye - it’s equally as beautiful! The house salsa was so tasty and we knew we were in for a treat from there. Left is the chicken & shrimp rice bowl, middle is the coconut shrimp appetizer, and right is the fried Cabo fish taco and the Steak Churrasco taco. Everything was amazing! The only thing I could say was to drain the oil from the steak and plantains for the churrasco taco because it was flooding the taco.
