It's unfortunate the Starbucks on Forsythe in Monroe is the only store in my area, because it also happens to be the worst Starbucks I've ever visited. The drinks and food are standard Starbucks fare, so no problem there. It's actually the service and employee attitudes which bring this place down. I've been to this location dozens upon dozens of times, along with many along I-20 toward Dallas and in the Dallas area. Each time, my experiences were significantly better out of town.
The Ruston and Shreveport locations along I-20 have much friendlier baristas who actually thank customers for their business! They'll even remake your drink if it's not satisfactory or just wasn't what you expected. A barista in Dallas even offered to try to remake an out of season drink for me with substitute ingredients when I asked her if they had anything like it. (And she did a great job!)
Don't expect that kind of effort from many of the employees in on Forsythe Ave. in Monroe. They do have some good, friendly baristas, but most seem to be lacking in simple manners or suffer from near store-wide apathy. Is management an issue?
I hope these issues can be addressed, because I prefer not to have to drive to Ruston or ULM to get...
Read moreHands down best starbucks service I've got from the other starbucks that have or are in this area. I get the same thing almost, every day. It comes out great, every day. And almost every time I go, the employees have been cordial, friendly, and quick to update customers on wait time updates, managing their que lines and processing the drive through at a decent rate during rush hour. They don't have a bunch of people on staff during rush and they still punch out drive through with exceptional quality. One employee I'd like to point out is Connor, as he is always there and despite the rushes he hasn't blown his top just gets more focused and plows through his orders. Before he hands you a cup he makes sure to smile and bid you a good day. Coffee is usually the start of the day and I don't ever have to worry about a ruined experience because they just care about their jobs- that deserves recognition and respect....
Read moreRight now I am sitting in the drive-through line and it is coming from three different directions and is in the street. There are people honking. I have seen multiple people pull up and walk in and walk out after about 20 minutes of sitting here and only moving up 2 car spaces. I walked in a couple of weeks ago because the line always seems longer than everyone walking in stood in line inside the building for 40 minutes and had to ask for my money back because I was late for work. Today I have kids getting out of school for Christmas break at a 12 o’clock early dismissal it is 1130 and there is no hopes of me even getting out of the line to leave because there is no way out. I love Starbucks and I look forward to it every day I spend so much money here but this line and service is the worst I have ever experienced in my life. I would rather squeeze lemon juice and salt on...
