I went in to get my jewelry tested that I had purchased at an antique store just out of curiosity to see what it was made of. When I came in there were 3 employees there none of which got up to help me even though I was standing right at the front desk and I said hello just to get their attention. When I walked up to the girls they looked right at me and then looked at each other and proceeded to talk to each other to finish their conversation completely ignoring me. Finally after I said hello the one girl who had her back facing me turned around and asked me “ what did I need”, I told her that I would like to get my jewelry tested just to see what it was made out of she loudly sighed and proceeded to test my jewelry asking me questions like where did I get it from etc.
I did not feel welcome in the store at all and to me it seemed like they did not want to help me based on how I look I’m not sure if it was because I am black or because of my hair or what but I will definitely not be shopping at this Kay jewelers if I do indeed one day feel like purchasing some jewelry, the staff was just not welcoming at all and to me it seems like I was wasting their time or not...

Needless to say, I have bought my wedding rings here and have pretty much gotten all of my jewelry from this team. I can't say enough about how caring, attentive and loving these people are. Usually most people recognize my wife and I when we browse due to our love story and them being a part of it from start to finish. But on this occasion I went in by myself, mask on face, and was trying to explain the issues that I was having w. my Movado. My first interaction didn't start off too well, but then Jill Gracik hopped in and took over and not only did I get my watches fixed up; but then she secured two additional sales w. me that day.
There is a lot to be said when you go into somewhere to complain and they can flip it into a happy customer that purchases more. I also am kind of a picky guy, I only like emails and respond to them as such. She is the only one that followed this to the T and has went above and beyond for all of my needs. Read moreDO NOT SHOP AT MONROEVILLE KAYS. READ! My boyfriend and I went to look at engagement rings. I got sized officially (it’s been 6 years). Anyways. Long story short, he goes to order the ring. We order it in 7 1/4 (what we discussed). Fast forward , I am Now engaged (08.01.20). He picked the ring up it’s a 14k white gold ring. It’s 10/23/20 and my ring is literally turning already (happens in future not right away-rhodium dip). Go back to get it checked this time in GREENSBURG .....THE BEST STORE....... The lady tells me and sizes my ring to be a SIZE 8!!!!!!!! WE DIDN’T ORDER THAT. Come to find out the order form says 7 3/4. We literally had the wrong size (no wonder I bought ring guards). Monroeville is literally a mess, always has been. First I felt skeptical about my ring, then all the red flags popped up. Wrong size (not once 3 times), white gold already “doing its science” as they say in less than a month, and the diamond was wrong. Just do not shop there....
