SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICE, my card was charged $42.30 excess, total was supposed to be $55 , however $97.30 was charged and the owner gave me lame excuses when I questioned multiple times... I was told dual entry occured by mistake, if the bill was $50.30 dual entries would have been multiple transactions on my account of $50.30 each and/or with tip of $4.70 it should have been $55 and $55 or maybe $110 total, however my card was charged $97.30

Excuses given when I asked to return my amount... 1.Told me he would send the receipt ,he never did send any. 2.When I requested to give cash if returning to the card was a problem, he stated it'll be a tax problem...as if he had to give me some thousands of $ , lame.Amount couldn't be refunded back to the original form of payment..reasons known only to the owner. He was frustrated the next time we were there, didn't even make any eye contact and most importantly he didn't even request an apology, infact, when I asked to zelle $ back, he told he'll have to ask his brother...stupidity of excuses continued.

We were not local to Monroeville, we told him the reason why we had to visit his restaurant almost on a daily basis, based on all his gestures and excuses, I figured out that he exploited the situation and also noticing that I was generoualy leaving tips.I was humble and initially didn't even report the transaction to my bank, talked to him and told him that i'll collect the amount during my next visit, to my shock...the list of reasons that caused this mistake and excuses given to return the amount were all lame, I can confidently tell that it was an intentional malpractice.

Tell me how much time does it take for a restuarant owner to return $42.30?

ON CHRISTMAS DAY, out of no choice I had a order a takeout at this place again, now the Card machine doesn't work....come on , all the restaurants were closed and looked like these guys wanted to take an advantage of the situation , they were only accepting Zelle, Venmo, Cash etc., restaurant was completely packed..it's their concern and I don't care, they should have atleast informed while taking the order that their card machine was down....they didn't do that, they can't lie about this fact.

My questions ....what happens to taxes now sir? Don't you have tax problem? You couldn't give me just $40 ish cash, but you guys are happy to accept 100s or 1000s in the form of cash/venmo/zelle correct?SHAME

The girl handling the cash counter advised me to withdraw cash from a nearst ATM, what happend to your ethics when you had to return my amount? You could have sent your worker to the ATM right if taking money from billing counter was a tax concern....hypocrisy at...

I had an absolutely delightful dining experience at this South Indian vegetarian restaurant!

The menu was a treasure trove of authentic flavors, offering a wide variety of dosas, idlis, vadas, and curries that catered to every palate. The food was not just delicious but also beautifully presented, showcasing the chef's dedication to both taste and aesthetics.

I started with their signature masala dosa, which was impeccably crispy on the outside and filled with a flavorful potato masala. The coconut chutney and sambar served alongside were the perfect accompaniments, adding a burst of flavors to every bite.

For the main course, I couldn't resist trying their aromatic biryani. It was a fragrant symphony of spices, perfectly cooked rice, and a medley of fresh vegetables. Each spoonful was a journey of taste that left me craving for more.

The attentive and courteous staff added to the overall charm of the place. They were happy to explain the dishes and offer recommendations, making the dining experience all the more enjoyable.

To round off the meal, I indulged in their rich and creamy kulfi, a sweet treat that provided the perfect ending to this culinary adventure.

In summary, this South Indian vegetarian restaurant is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it can get. The combination of authentic flavors, welcoming ambiance, and top-notch service make it a must-visit for anyone who appreciates the diversity and richness of South Indian cuisine. I can't wait to return and explore more of their...

BEST BEST BEST BEST BEST Authentic Indian restaurant in THE COUNTRY. Yes, you heard that right. I said in the country. Udipi Cafe offers the most delicious and authentic Indian food you could find, even if you searched the entire United States you wouldn't be able to beat this level of quality. Let me explain. This is a vegetarian only restuarant, and for that reason, I'm placing it at #1 on my list. Not only is the food absolutely spectacular, and can make any bad day into a great one, but the people, the atmosphere, the location, the... oh-- what the hell, EVERYTHING! It's beyond what words can describe. I have to say, Udipi, you hold a place in my heart. My experience was so great and fantastic, and it always is every time I come.

Want to know what true, authentic Indian food is like? Want to experience something you've never experienced? Do you WANT to have happy memories and a great restuarant experience you won't ever forget? COME TO UDIPI CAFE TODAY. I'm not making this up, it's such an amazing place I might even shed a tear and call it holy. Ok ok. That's enough. Words can't do me or Udipi Cafe, or you, any justice in trying to explain how phenomenal Udipi truly is. You have to experience it yourself to even get a hint of what I'm trying to point at. To all my friends, I have but just one message:

GO TO UDIPI CAFE, TODAY. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED. (hell I might fund you my own money if you aren't satisfied... hit me up...)

A satisfied...

Udupi Cafe – A Culinary Delight** Our visit to Udupi Cafe was an exceptional experience that left us thoroughly impressed and satisfied. **Service:** The service was wonderful—efficient, warm, and attentive. The staff ensured every part of our dining experience was seamless, making us feel truly valued. **Food Quality:** The dishes were nothing short of perfection. We sampled a delightful array, including dosa, pongal, uttapam, poori, and kesari. Each dish was super hot, fresh, and prepared with remarkable precision and authenticity. The flavors were vibrant and incredibly satisfying. **Standout Items:** The sambar and chutney deserve special mention for their delicious, comforting taste. Both complemented the dishes beautifully, adding to the overall experience. Udupi Cafe has mastered the art of blending excellent service with incredible food quality. It’s a must-visit spot for anyone craving authentic and flawlessly executed South Indian cuisine. We left with full hearts and even fuller stomachs!

Udipi Vegetarian Restaurant: A Hidden Gem As a lifelong vegetarian, my brain is hardwired to detect "vegetarian-only" signs like a heat-seeking missile. So when I stumbled upon Udipi in what seemed like the middle of nowhere, my internal radar went off, was this a mirage? A glitch in the matrix? Skeptical but intrigued, I stepped in, half-expecting a sad menu with three options: dosa, idli, and "try again later." Instead, I was hit with a menu so large that I briefly considered hiring a guide to navigate it. Choices galore! Prices so reasonable I had to double-check if this was 2025 or if I had time-traveled back to 2005. Then came the food. Oh, the food. Quality? Check. Quantity? Enough to make me question my ability to finish. Taste? So good that I momentarily considered moving into the restaurant and living off their menu. Long story short: I found Udipi, and now Udipi has found a lifelong customer. If I’m within a 20-mile radius, my car will automatically reroute me here.
