Really wish it wasnt a 1 star experience, Popeyes is usually delicious and good about what they do. Tonight I ordered a strips box and a box of mixed spicy with the sides as usual...we had to wait 10 mins which is no problem in the drive thru waiting spot, then the drive thru guy comes outside and says I need to pull more forward, I agreed and asked what the wait looked like. He responded with a blank expression and "its gonna be a while", "wait you're the mac n cheese order right?" I said its part of it...he goes back inside and 10 mins later brings out a bag with the tenders and sides and biscuits. I asked about the spicy chicken and he said "its all in there". Drove home, and the spicy box of 10 pieces is nowhere. I call the Popeyes and wait 4 minutes of constant ringing before getting answered. I relay to them that the chicken was missing and I have a receipt, etc and the kid says I can just give them my info and get it another time or drive back and get it. No apology; I agree to drive back. I'm met at the counter with another teenage employee that after I explain what happened questions me about it. He is told by the drive thru employee to get me what was missing...I wish that was the end of it. I get it that mistakes happen. But the chicken provided in the 'new batch' had 1 deep fried fly, as in insect, stuck to a chicken breast. This is found upon returning home as I figured they arent going to screw it up twice right? For real y'all? It killed the craving tonight and probably for a while. The tenders tasted off, the mac n cheese was watery. If they arent prepped for a busy Friday night with competent staff then they arent worth going to. No money back offered or coupon or anything when I drove back for what was already paid for. Best to...
Read moreWalked in and ordered then the girl doing drive through started cursing about not being able to take it and ran out if the store . Then the counter girl gave some people the wrong order and on a tray not bagged. She gave them attitude then said they wouldn’t be charged for the correction but the other counter girl charged them and gave attitude when the card didn’t work the first time. Then tge counter girl started yelling and cursing at the couple. Manager comes and yells for everyone to stop yelling. Another 10 minutes go by and the guy next to me told them he had been waiting 30 minutes for his food he got it with a lot of anger from them 10 minutes later. Then drive through girl comes back playing with her hair and immediately starts prepping food. Next the counter girls get to my order and figure out there’s no chicken ready and start yelling and cussing the cook who through all of this was just hanging out in the back not doing anything. We got a refund and got away from those horrible employees. The manager was obviously not in control of anything but with that crew I don’t think any manager would be able to help. Chicken express was fast and all employees were polite. It will be our go to now. If we want a show then I’d go back but I definitely wouldn’t trust the food...
Read moreWhen you see a fast food place without a line on a Friday evening, it should be a pretty good sign that it's no good.
For starters, they are currently only accepting cash at the drive through, so you have to go inside if you want to use a card.
The employees had an obvious disdain for their work, bad attitudes all around there, definitely made me feel like I was being a burden by wanting some food.
The drinks and Biscuits were fine so no complaints there, but the rest of the food was awful. The spicy chicken strips had obviously been sitting under the heat lamp for a while and were basically breaded jerky. The regular chicken nuggets were actually undercooked, which is a first for me at any fast food place. My family wouldn't even touch the Mac N cheese because it looked like a radioactive hockey puck stuffed into the little container. The mashed potatoes were fine but the serving was incredibly small compared to the container.
Definitely won't be going back any time soon regardless of how convenient the...
