Efi's Gyro is 🔥🔥🔥. The Chicken Gyro and the Chicken Platter are so delicious! Other stand out gems are the Greek Fries and Feta Sticks! I'm "The Sauce Man" so if you have not had Efi's next level effin good 🚀"Rocket Sauce" - then you are missing out. Lord have mercy - this sauce is incredible. Efi is awesome! Their food is quite good but their service and restaurant is lacking. This restaurant isn’t a restaurant and more of a takeout place. You order at the register and pay right away. You aren’t served. If you sit there and eat they bring it to your table, but you aren’t being served by a waiter/waitress. You can sit outside or inside.

The cashier didn’t know the menu. When I asked the different between the Efi Gyro and the Chicken Gyro, he didn’t know…. Then I saw on the menu the difference in the sauce. Not sure why he didn’t know. It could’ve been his first day since that’s what it seemed like, but why was he alone and not being assisted if he didn’t know?

After we ate our dinner, we went back to order baklava. The cashier this time was a woman and she “gave us a warning” and said it’s “too sweet”. Not really selling the dessert for us, but we had it anyways. It was fine, but weird their employees weren’t trying to sell their own products harder.

We love the Efi’s Gyro it is very flavorful but hard to eat since it’s ginormous. It has fries inside. The fried feta sticks are delicious and flavorful.

Efi’s Gyro in Montclair has been one of my go to spots for a few years now! Every two weeks or so I always end up coming back; whether it’s for lunch or to bring dinner home after work. Efi’s has always been reliably tasty and filling because of their generous portions.

We were first recommended Efi’s because of their plant based options. They have healthy salads, rice bowls and great falafel. What we fell in love with was the gyros though, of course, because they are so flavourful. Not to mention the fries on them are always perfect. You have to try Efi’s fries! With time I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and recommend the gyros, the bowls and platters. After a long day, the various platter options always hit the spot! I just cant ever get over how generous their servings are. I also love buying Efi’s sauce and adding it to other meals at home because of the smoky kick it has.
