IHOP — Restaurant in Monterey Park

Been coming to this restaurant for years, the food quality has always been on point where it's delicious when it's not done during rush hour, and just good when it is (which makes sense). The staff are always super nice with both the waitresses and waiters being attentive to the best of their ability. There is much that can be written about the food, the pancakes are always well cooked with my favorite being the cake pancakes with the sprinkles and vanilla frosting, the crepes desserts are always well done. From what I seen they cook the bacon and sausage well with the eggs lookin' quite great, another breakfast meal I always enjoy from this establishment is eating the Chicken tenders and waffle combo, like wow, the buttermilk waffle is super crispy but soft in the inside where i often enjoy putting butter in between the waffle holes and dench the waffle in syrup to make a buttery sweet bite (it might sound weird but trust me, it tastes delicious!) The chicken tenders are so savory, it's always fried quite well where you can hear the sizzle when you take a bite out of those tasty tenders, I'm getting a bit hungry for just describing this delicious meal. The only complaint i have (Which i won't count as a deduction of star points against this restaurant), is when they do special promotions in their meals such as when Illumination or any other animated film do their specials pancakes or meal, either the Ihop doesn't give this place enough inventory to keep up with the demand of the orders or the chief is too busy taking the time to make the special meals, I remembered when it was the Grinch ihop pancakes, they would always be missing part of the aesthetic that makes the Grinch Pancakes, either the green whipped cream was missing or they didnt have the red hearts, heck I remembered when i got the pancakes and the only thing they had was the green dyed pancakes and that's it. I find it a bit humorous but i know there will be disappointed people that will legitimately get upset at this, so be warned if you ever go to this...

Just came to this place recently a few nights ago. Now let me share my experience with you all. Whenever I come to this location it's normally in the morning but this recent visit was at 1:00 a.m. now normally when I come during the day it's very well serviced but at the time that I arrived was a different story. The service was not the best at that time. The place at the time was just myself and my wife with another couple there which I would assume not too many errors would occur but the waiter could have been a bit more attentive and could have paid more attention to detail. I went in for a spicy poblano egg omelette but for some weird reason I was given a big steak omelette which itself wasn't bad but was really craving the spicy poblano which was a mistake by the waiter provided the wrong info to the cook. My wife ordered their chicken tenders but when she got them they were really burn had to send them back for some new ones. Again it wasn't a completely horrible experience but could have gone a lot better we'll be returning again for another experience hopefully it goes...

Brian was our waiter and he was very kind and nice, a bit shy but really nice guy. The manager Junior was also really helpful not only with us but also with everybody else in the restaurant. We always struggle with the creamers in most places but here we got plenty lol way more than enough. Our chicken and waffles were good, but we were pretty sad bcc we chose this place to have their Swedish crepes and they were out of the cream 😭😭😭 so we had to settle for pancakes. So sad, then on our way out the cashier stopped us abruptly and said she could help us at the register 🙄 when clearly it’s not like we were gonna leave without paying, my dad was in the back and he was gonna pay. It’s not like we even reached for the door, we were planning to stop at the register anyway but it was my husband, myself my mom and my dad in the back. Just wish they were nice about it instead of doing it with an attitude.
