Leaflet Coffee House — Restaurant in Monterey Park

I've been wanting to try Leaflet Coffee House due to its high reviews and great tasting drinks! I've been in the area often these days so I was able to finally try them out.

Here's what we ordered:

**Furious George: This drink was recommended so I had to try it out. We could hardly taste any banana or vanilla notes which was very disappointing. I was able to get a very subtle espresso flavor but the milk overpowered the majority of the drink. There was some sweetness but had little to no overall flavor. (2/5)

**Of Spice & Bees (50% sweet, oat milk): I assumed this would be similar to your standard Spanish Latte but boy was I wrong. There was no flavor that stood out besides the oat milk which was also very watered down. The cinnamon on top helped a little but the overall flavor just didn't work well with the drink. (1/5)

**Lavender Matcha (50% sweet, oat milk): You could taste the lavender along with the matcha but both flavors were very underwhelming. The oat milk was also very powerful in this drink and the matcha seemed to be on the lighter side. This drink easily had the most flavor but would probably go full sweetness next time around. (3/5)

One good thing I will point out was the service. Everyone working seemed to enjoy their jobs and even though it was busy, all the drinks came out fairly quickly. Another thing I will point out is that they use lactose-free milk so that's a plus for all you lactose intolerant peeps! Also, milk alternatives don't cost extra which is always a plus. One major downside is that the drinks are fairly expensive here and the prices you see are included with tax.

I would return in the future but I can't recommend this...

As soon as you walk in, you’ll feel welcome! Staff here is so lovely! They are friendly and attentive and patient no matter how busy. I love the elegant, minimal and tasteful decor of this spot especially their custom stained glass logo!! They have a great and well curated menu with a variety of specialty drinks as well as the classics. They know how to elevate what would normally be plain coffee. I’m obsessed with their lavender and their maple drinks. My favorite drinks to order are lattes and cold brews and the staff here is always happy to customize them to my taste. I loved the menu here. It’s varied and inspired. Plenty of espresso and tea drinks for all sorts of folks. The names are playful and from what I had, equally delicious. I’m a sucker for anything banana and I don’t care how sacrilegious it may be to have banana in your coffee, I love it. I did get a butter croissant which was good but I always say no to have it heated and they still gave it to me warmed up. It was good but I don’t like the feel of soggy ‘sants ya know?

It’s nestled in a business plaza filled with many small businesses but parking should be easy to get. I would definitely come back out here again to try some of their...
