After my doctor visit and with cash in hand, I've decided to give this place a try over Liang's Kitchen.
The owner is this sweet lady who treated me like family even though I did not speak an ounce of Mandarin! I took to-go orders, but she had me sit down at the table next to her as they were finishing my order.
She knows limited English, so speak slow with her and use hand signals when you can.
I ordered the cold appetizer of bean curd with peanuts. It is SO good. If you've never had it before, it is a taiwanese appetizer. The bean curd and peanut has been sauced with this sweet soysauce/ sesame oil combo.
I also ordered the hot oil wonton. This also was very good and I was surprised I could handle the spiciness!
My last order was the stinky tofu. This was actually the least stinky I've ever had it, and it came with a thick diluted hoisin like sauce to dip into it. I've never had it like this, but I do like it.
