Came here for a late lunch on Saturday with a friend. We ordered the hummus as an appetizer, chicken kabob plate (came with 2 sides), and chicken kabob sandwich combo (came with a side an a fountain drink).
The hummus as an appetizer was ginormous and it came with some thin and chewy pita bread like bread; it was a bit chewier than I would've liked and I wasn't a big fan, but I loved the hummus. The chicken kabob plate was a lot bigger than I expected; I got a side of greek salad and fries. It was such a huge portion that I was almost all full after eating the salad! The chicken was nicely seasoned and juicy and tender. The fries were some of the best I've had because it was crispy and not drenched in oils or salt. My plate also came with some pita bread which was nice and soft and paired well with everything, including the hummus. I didn't get to try the sandwich my friend ordered, but it looked really good too!

Ā Ā Ā Read moreMediterranean food in my neighborhood is relatively hard to come by, and good Mediterranean food is nearly impossible. John's Kabob sits alone on an island and parking here can be a pain if they are remotely busy. The dining room features a couple wall mounted TVs displaying the menu and a large glass case displaying....not much. It's a beautiful unit that looks odd being so empty.
You don't want to be in a rush if you go to John's. There's a white board reminding you that the food is cooked fresh, so to please be patient. On our most recent stop, there were very few patrons, and ended up waiting for about fifteen minutes for our food. We had the kafta kabob and falafel plates. The kabob, falafel, rice, hummus, and tzatziki were all good, as was the greek salad, plus, the portions were plenty. My only issue was the salad dressing on the caesar, it was quite bad. Obviously, it's just a bottled sauce, but it's a pretty bad one.
The two plates ran us about $23 total, no drinks. It's not cheap, but the food was good, so you get your...
