R&B Tea Monterey Park — Restaurant in Monterey Park

So happy an R&B tea location opened up in Monterey Park! I've been to the Pasadena and Pomona location and one thing R&B does well is that they produce the same quality of drinks throughout all their locations.

I stopped by on their grand opening weekend when drinks were BOGO free. The store wasn't too busy and I received my order fairly fast. I also took advantage of their daily happy hour special and bought drinks for my co-workers. Unfortunately I had a large order and it took longer than expected (sorry to the people waiting after me!), but the quality was still there, which I appreciated.

I tried their Strawberry Yakult ($4.85) after a recommendation from a friend. This was really good and I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. If you like yogurt drinks, you'll love this. Slightly on the sweet/tangy side with enough strawberry flavor that mixed with the Yakult. The drink does separate when sitting by itself for awhile, so you always have to give it a shake before taking a sip.

My dad went with the original classic milk tea with boba ($4.75 + $0.65). He really enjoyed this and pretty much downed it by the time he got home. Flavors were on-point and didn't taste too milky or watered down. Boba was also cooked perfectly.

When I returned to order drinks during happy hour, I ended up trying the Blossom Pineapple ($5.25) - one of their recommended drinks. It was described as pineapple, passion fruit, orange tea, which sounded refreshing in the warm afternoon. I enjoyed the flavor of the drink! Could taste the pineapple and the slight tanginess of the passion fruit. I will say that I prefer the Devil's Booster still because of the grapefruit flavor.

Workers here are really nice and patient. Interior of the store is nice as well with their big R&B sign with the RGB colors and cute cloud decorations hanging from the ceiling. There's a good number of tables inside the store, but most customers seem to just grab and go with their orders.

tl;dr - A welcome boba shop addition to Monterey Park! Definitely check them out (especially during their Happy Hour!) - I really enjoyed all the drinks that I've tried, but I know they're known for their stormy series. Will be back soon to...

Hands down the best boba experience I've ever had! From the moment I walked in, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The shop itself is super cute and Instagram-worthy, with a cozy vibe that makes you want to linger over your drink.

But the real star of the show is the boba itself - the flavors are creative and delicious, and the boba is always cooked to perfection. I've tried a few different drinks and they've all been amazing, with just the right balance of sweetness and flavor.

The customer service is top-notch too - the staff are knowledgeable about the menu and happy to make recommendations. They even offered to customize my drink to my taste preferences, which was a lovely touch.

Overall, I'd highly recommend this boba shop to anyone looking for a great cup of boba. It's definitely my new go-to spot, and I'll be back again and again to try more flavors and drinks. 10/10...
