Note: Still in the soft opening phase
I'm not sure how long it has been open, but we were excited to finally see it open.
The Food: The highlight was the karaage it was the best part of the meal. The pork bun was tasty, but at the same time disappointing for me because the bun was cold. I had the blazing ramen, to which the broth felt as if it was missing something, and my wife had the mapo tofu, which was different. The lagest issue we had was the overuse or heavy handedness of the green onions, to the point it seemed to be the star of every dish. It took over, flavor wise, everything.
Service: All staff were very nice and were doing their best. It's still a soft opening, and they should not be penalized for the minor chaos.
Atmosphere: It was great and as expected for a modern american ramen place. They've done it right for the space they have. They did think ahead and blacked out the windows as the sun could be punishing in that area.
My recommendations: order the karaage chicken and ask for the green onion on the side, and remember it is a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had my heart set on some warm soup. My kids and hubby were eager to have some chicken. There were 7 of us. It was a long day at work and a good bowl of ramen would have ended my day nicely. They brought out yep bowls of ramen, not mine. Then came back five minutes later to tell us they had no rice. They wanted five of us to choose from the ramen menu. My kids and my husband all wanted rice bowls. It would have cost nearly double. The waitress said she'd see what she can do after my husband asked for the bill. They came out with three of the five bowls instead of giving us another option. They should have mentioned all of this before bringing any food. We could have left without paying for anything, but we offered to pay for the partial order they did bring out. We got no discount and no apology. They were mad at us. There's a fkg Ralph's market 25 feet away. They could have bought rice! I will never recommend this place to anybody! My family didn't get to eat for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came here with my boyfriend yesterday (a Sunday) and it was a lot of people waiting but the good thing that at the most we just waited 15 minutes to get seated. We got seated at the bar, the waitress was friendly, and the other staff was polite as well. My boyfriend ordered the Shayu with chicken, I ordered the garlic truffle ramen with pork, and we ordered the karage for appetizer. Everything was delicious, the garlic truffle ramen had a thick but delicious broth, the shayu had that chicken soup homey taste, and the karage was soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. The restaurant inside has good lighting, they have this cool neon sign that says āSlurping allowedā and I believe there was music playing I wouldnāt be sure since there was a group with a guy being kinda loud. Other than that we had a wonderful first time experience there, weāll...
