A Delicious Discovery at Dametra Fresh in Monterey Walking into Dametra Fresh Mediterranean, we were greeted with the aroma of grilled meats, warm spices, and baked pita—an instant promise of something special. The atmosphere was clean, casual, and inviting, perfect for a relaxed but satisfying meal.
We started with a spread of Tzatziki and Hummus, both rich and flavorful. The pita was warm and pillowy—exactly how it should be. The Falafel offered a nice crunch with a soft, herbed interior that didn’t disappoint.
Our table quickly filled with Mediterranean classics. The Chicken Shawarma was tender and well-seasoned, while the Chicken Kabob had that smoky, grilled finish that made each bite better than the last. The real surprise was the Ultimate Vegan Delight—vibrant, hearty, and layered with fresh ingredients that made it anything but an afterthought.
For dessert, we couldn’t skip the Baklava. It was buttery and sweet with just the right amount of crunch—an indulgent way to finish the meal.
Service was quick and friendly, and the kitchen clearly takes pride in what they serve. Whether you're eating in or grabbing something fresh on the go, Dametra Fresh is a true standout. We’ll absolutely be...
Read moreI just love Dametra and have eaten here quite a few times. The other day I was out running errands and realized I was hungry and wanted something healthy and flavorful. I was near Del Monte Shopping Center so I decided to stop in to Dametra for a Toss It (salad) with delicious falafel and one of their refreshing mint teas. That day they were only able to take cash for some reason and I could tell they were ready to get yelled at but it was not a problem for me and since I work in customer service I understand how much harder that makes their job. My salad was absolutely delicious and the falafel always hits the spot. I love the dressing and always get a side of lemon herb dressing and tzatziki to compliment the meal. I also love the quinoa tabouli and spanikopita. The baba ganoush is a little too smokey for my liking but the hummus is also a winner. They also have...
Read moreShould have read the reviews - visiting the area and was feeling like Mediterranean, and wanted kabobs so thought id stop in. Chipotle would have been a better choice - got 2 chicken kabobs (was starving) only to find that the meat was so dry - this is def not "luna grill" or anything - these kabobs were terrible (overcooked?) - $28 for 2 dry kabobs with no real flavor. Heck even a costco or even ralphs rotisserie chicken leftovers would be more moist and flavorful than this - sadly cant recommend this place - who knows how long those kabobs were sitting there, chicken cubes so dry had to drink lot of fluids to make it palatable even the garlic aoli (sp) sauce didn't help. staff was friendly but food no good .... if i didnt spend so much on this would have jus tossed it.. the only thing that was half decent was the salad. :( bummed.... try...
