Nothing against the employees, the ones we interacted with were kind and friendly doing their best with the disturbing state of the rundown workplace they’ve been given to work in.
I booked two nights for a quick end of summer vacation through Expedia which gave completely inaccurate reviews of the current state of this hotel, most likely due to bots. We arrived and were given a room that apparently we shouldn’t have been given. As soon as we used the toilet (with just pee) and flushed, it began overflowing from the bottom and the top. As soon as we told the front desk they switched us to another room with a working toilet. The new toilet door, however, was an above barn house style roller with no below attachment and didn’t close for privacy.
*Many of the plug outlets were cracked and smoldered burnt and sticking out of the floors & walls, a big fire hazard noticed in the rooms and in the gym. *
The second room we were given had a door attached that could open to the room next door, with just a few flimsy bolts holding the lock in place. The loud alarm clock in our room had been previously set from the last guests to 6am which we didn’t check before falling asleep, so it abruptly woke us, not ideal for a vacation.
The next morning, literally right outside of our window we saw a man dump a disabled homeless woman out of his car onto the lawn and he sped his car to drive off. Non emergency response came to talk to her and it looked like she declined their services. We went outside and she asked my boyfriend to help pick her up from the ground which he did, she was able to walk OK mainly couldn’t get up and down off the ground by herself, she told us that was her “boyfriend” who quite literally dumped her laying onto the lawn, she then walked to the gas station attached to the parking lot, it was a disturbing situation.
There were no screens or handles on the windows. The hot tub was not usable, there was no water in it. The best part of the stay was the ice machine producing ice - first floor machine was broken but the third floor’s worked perfectly.
If there were accurate and realistic reviews here, I wouldn’t have booked this place, it was not a 3 star environment but a one star environment, during our stay I was in disbelief so I was researching the hotel on other platforms such as yelp that had much more accurate reviews, that I wish I had seen prior to booking. I booked for 2 nights and we left before the second night.
Also! I had pre booked a Monday and Tuesday night 2 weeks ahead of time, the cost was $252 for both on Expedia, and I was kicking myself because I checked the first night of our stay that if we had waited to book that week for the same days, each night would have been $89. I should have waited until last minute and realized why it would have...

Read moreI've never felt the need to write a bad review about a hotel until now. We rented a room to stay over night for a wedding. We checked in, put our bags in the room and then headed out. When we returned, it was late and I wanted to take a shower. The shower was disgusting. Hair all over the walls and a used bar of soap. I went to desk to speak to someone. I showed him pictures and a video of the shower. He was apologetic but said there was nothing he could do because it was so late. I asked him if I could at least have some cleaning supplies and I'd clean it myself. All he has was a sponge because the cleaning supplies were locked up for the night. I took the sponge and told him I'd go to the convenience store next to us and buy some cleaner and clean it myself because I didn't want to take a shower since it was disgusting. He told me that when I checked out the next morning, they will have discounted my room. That did not happen. When I went to go check out, there was a different person working. He was sitting in a chair against the wall and just stared at me when I came to the counter. I said hi, I'm checking out. He said ok and shrugged his shoulders but didn't get up. I said are you who I check at with. He said just leave your room keys. I told him that there was supposed to be a note on my room and I was supposed to talk to someone about a discount. He still would not get up. Just looked irritated and started typing on the computer. He said ok, you're getting a discount when your card is charged after check out. I told him my card was already charged since I booked with a 3rd party. He said well then you need to talk to them and they will call us to verify. I asked him if he could print out what my new rate was going to be so that I had something to prove it. He huffed, rolled his eyes and got out of the chair to go to the printer. He had no name tag, his shirt was untucked and he looked disheveled. He tossed the paper on the counter, I thanked him and left. I immediately called the 3rd party. They called the hotel to verify and he told them they were discounting $14 which is not what I was told and not what the paper showed. The 3rd party said I could email the proof I had. After escalating it through their system, they responded stating that what the hotel gave me is the pricing info that the 3rd party pays for their discounted rate. They called the hotel again and they stated they would not be issuing any discount. The 3rd party told me at this point, there is nothing...
