HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE HORRIBLE STAFF!!!!! I arrived to check in after a long drive only to expect the most disgusting “man”. This man at check in did not greet me nor courteous. He began to take my credit card and ID, and did not state how much the deposit was UNTIL I ASKED! When discussing “who was with me”, I let him know I had 1 child under 3 and 1 infant. He then aggressively stated “you didn’t put that on the reservation and now that’s a charge!” THEN proceeded to give me the run around “oh the night person does the audit and they will decide if they charge you or not”. I then demanded to see the terms and conditions and DEMANDED A RECIPT. This man told me “no we don’t do that. I can’t give you a receipt. Not now and not at check out”. He then kept insisting “well next time..” THERE WILL NEVER EVER BE A NEXT TIME AND ANYONE READING THIS SHOULD AVOID SPENDING A SINGLE PENNY AT THIS DISGUSTING PLACE. His entire demeanor, approach, and ignorance was completely disgracious and unacceptable. I will be disputing the charge!

I called twice and spoke with Mike, at 9:37am and 4:37pm today, requesting to cancel my reservation for next week. He kept saying it was cancelled but would not provide any reference number or send an email. He made weird excuses and wasn't willing to help.
Finally, I was able to get to a computer and the room was in fact not cancelled. I was able to do it online and received a confirmation email immediately.
Note that this was booked directly through their website and not a third party.
It seems as though their staff is dishonest, and I would have been charged a no show fee if I had just taken Mike at his word. Beware if you plan to stay here. I'm dropping the overall review from 5-stars to 2-stars, and the service review from 3-stars to 1-star, for this disappointing customer service experience.

The rooms were comfortable, quiet, have fast WiFi and safe parking for a great price.
There's no breakfast, but the room does have a refrigerator and microwave, with Whole Foods, Starbucks, and a number of stores are within walking distance. It is a short drive to the tourist areas of Monterey, 17-Mile Drive, Carmel-by-the-Sea, and Point Lobos.

I had to pay an extra $45 because I didn’t put down the exact amount of adults that were staying with me (which is understandable) I was fine with it.. but the lady had an attitude about it, and made me feel as if I didn’t understand her. Then they told me since there was an extra car that we had.. we were not allowed to park in the hotels parking lot because they were all “booked” for that day and wanted room for the other cars, they wanted us to park our car in an alley that’s on the other side of the hotel which they also said that they were not responsible for anything happening to our vehicle. Did not make sense at all.. felt as if they were making up rules as they went. I have never had a hotel employee tell me that before. Also I don’t recommend getting a room on the bottom floor, you can hear the footsteps and everything else, also good luck only using one outlet to charge up phones or anything else, only one...
