The Bates House of Turkey is a local treasure! Make sure to visit this spot when you are in Montgomery for a great meal and experience.

The store is located in an unassuming strip mall. However, there is a nice patio seating area for guests with umbrellas to protect from the sun. Inside the store, a shop area sells knickknacks as well as refrigerated turkey, pies and desserts to take home.

I got the Gobbler sandwich, which has cornbread stuffing and cranberry sauce for a Thanksgiving feel. They have both sandwiches and plates with turkey, which has some of the best roasted, meaty flavor I have ever had in a restaurant turkey! None of the dry, flavorless energy you might imagine for a turkey sandwich! They put a lot of meat on the sandwich, too. The pasta salad was also a standout.

AWESOME! I stopped in while traveling for work. All I can say is that, I DEFINITELY will be making future trips with family and clients to experience Bates House of Turkey Montgomery AL! They are affordable, extremely sanitary and such a PLEASURABLE establishment. They provide prompt expedited lunch service and it doesn't affect the quality of food or service. The Hickory Smoked Turkey sandwich with Pasta Salad is UNEXPLAINABLE DELICIOUS when paired. Keep up the good work and bring this type of food and service to the Oviedo, FL area. My daughter and I used to take road trips to Greenville just to enjoy a few of the famous Bates turkey sandwiches. So we were beyond excited when they opened a local restaurant here in Montgomery, Alabama. Since they opened in April, we have been regulars here as well. We love the location of their new restaurant, as there's plenty of room to park. There's also plenty of tables inside and out if you prefer to dine at the restaurant. And the staff is as friendly and attentive as they are at the Greenville location. Our favorite menu item will always be their turkey sandwiches. If you haven't tried them yet, you should soon.
