I dont know where to begin ! This was the WORST dinner experioence i had here! Once we were seated at the table we were greeted by the server . After we recieved our drinks , we ordered .i told her I cant have egg or mushrooms but i asked for those two items to not be on my plate. She tells me i cant and i said are you sure ? Her trainer said thats not correct and said that was for lunch service . I said okay.. Reg flag number 2- I stated my order 3 times and had a slight peak at what she wrote and asked her did she put down the extra steak . she finally wrote it down but apparent not( she acted like she wrote it down in my face ) becasuse when i recieved my plate there was nothing extra . After waiting to eat my food , I ASKED her is this extra steak and she lied to my face .( Red Flag number 3) i called her helper and we both asked him and he went to the kitchen to ask... he said she only had regular portion ...THEY BOTH heard me and repeated what i said and then proceed to tell me how much it will cost .. i already established that before they walked away...now im upset even more but what took the cake ...She told me and my sister after we just put our food in our boxes and waited to our food to settle that we had 9 minutes to get our stuff and leave ....we are about to the close in 9 minutes . IN TOTAL disbelif i was heated , not knowing that we were getting ready to leave before she even came to our table to say such a thing . she lucky she even got a tip becsue i was getting ready to scratch it off ... WORST EXPERIENCE , and will not ever return after this type of service . JUST KNOW I saved my recepit and will be giving the manager a...
Read moreFood is always great but today I went in to dine in for the first time in years and I’ll just make sure to take my business elsewhere next time. Our server was nice, but the atmosphere was SOOO uncomfortable. We walked in close to their 2:15pm shutdown for lunch and we let our server know we were fine with getting our order to go out of consideration due to us coming in at 1:50pm and because I kept getting stares from the males working behind the sushi bar (very strange activity). As a woman I was extremely uncomfortable; there were two young men, one with a beauty mark on his face with a black ball cap and one with a black kitchen hat that just kept staring at me and laughing REPEATEDLY. At one point I even made eye contact with the young man to make him aware that I was aware; they did not stop until I told my partner and he had to look up. Our request was not heard to package our food to go the first time, but the young man kindly let me know he would ask them in the back the second time we asked. Overall, not sure who the manager or owner is but in the society we live in where sex trafficking is on the rise, it’s important that your employees have self-awareness and manners when it comes setting a comfortable dining atmosphere. As a female had I been by myself I probably wouldn’t have even felt comfortable going straight home; I believe the behavior seen was blatant. Stop hiring weirdos please unless you want people to think you’re operating a trafficking...
Read moreSo multiple friends, from several different social circles, both male & female- - I’ve listened as they lament their repeated, rave reviews, over & over again, about this one little place as their #1 top choice for sushi in Montgomery. I didn’t have much faith as the first sushi I ever “endured” was here in Montgomery at the only restaurant serving sushi at the time (high school years) with a bunch of friends all absolutely clueless as to ordering sushi - I mean good sushi, so I order the most normal, however bland & boring “California roll” and it goes without saying the most exciting part of this encounter was the wasabi which was super fun not having been warned, in fact, a very little does certainly go a very long way with wasabi...my sinuses appreciated this not at all. It’s not so surprising since it’s been more than just “several” years this place is no longer in business. However since my fondness & familiarity for fish-flesh-fare has had time & tutelage to mature & become more acquainted & akin to all the many more selections of sushi, I thought “Why not?” when asked if I’d like to join one evening to enjoy the excellent epicurean experience at what is very plainly, yet almost perfectly, named simply “Sushi Cafe.” And that’s about as matter of fact as it needs to be - - just fresh (clearly) & delicious, exceptionally well-rolled sushi. That’s truly the only way sushi is so good, it’s just simple,...
