Midtown Pizza Kitchen — Restaurant in Montgomery

I’ve been going to Midtown Pizza Kitchen for several years now but had not realized I had never left a review. So, here we go. Generally, I eat lunch here with work friends and pretty much get the MPK Stromboli every time I go. The stromboli is always good and it’s a pretty good amount of food. I would definitely recommend the MPK Stromboli to anyone who makes a visit. This visit I was there for dinner and we ordered a 16” Americana Pizza with no green peppers. While the pizza took a while to come out, it was worth the wait. Their crust has a nice crispy edge and delicious. I’m sure it’s the same crust used on the stromboli which also makes it so delicious. The marinara sauce is also excellent, which blends in nicely with the fresh tasting ingredients. Occasionally, I will also get their lunch special which is a nice sized slice of pizza and salad. I’ve had both the Caesar and the garden with house balsamic vinaigrette and both are tasty. The service was friendly but occasionally felt abandoned because they were really busy and our waiter had his hands full with several tables but this was a minor complaint. The 16” pizza (which was a decent size) would probably feed two hungry people or three less hungry. The 16” was $26 at the time of this review. Amazing experience for my 11-year-old son’s surprise birthday party! From pre-planning through walking out the door after the party, this staff is so on point!!! Omg it was so refreshing to deal with them after I couldn’t get multiple local businesses to even return my call! The guy who booked the party was so awesome! He helped me plan ahead to maximize my slim budget (pizzas only, double sliced, brought my own cupcakes per my request! Seriously, they made it so easy & affordable!) Our server was super on point too! She ensured everything was set, cups stayed full, non-covered items remained on separate tabs, etc. She was extremely attentive w/o being invasive & even talked in code w/ me via phone to get the pizza orders going while our guests were inside the restaurant & I was driving my son & his friends to the surprise dinner. She coordinated the timing to have the doors closed, lights out, etc. to ensure my son was surprised when we arrived. My hubby & guests were impressed by her service too & we’re grateful we were able to add beyond the party gratuity. Very well deserved! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Strictly asked for no Tomatoes waitress confirmed that there won't be any, Still Pizza came with lot of cherry tomatoes. I understand, mistakes happens, that's why I did not complained even though watery cherry tomato affected to whole pizza taste.

When waitress came to check on my order, I informed her that pizza has lot of tomatoes, she said ohh I told not to add in kitchen.

I said, no worries, its ok, mistake happens. And asked for something to spice up my taste bud, a sauce or something.

She did not even spent more than a few second in refusing that we do not have any spicy sauce and turned around from my table.

I was about ask for side of jalapenos or banana peppers but she turned away and that made me feel highly disappointed since she did not cured tomato mistake and top of that she did not spent a moment to correct it. At least I was expecting that she will give some other options or will suggest something.
