Sol Restaurante Mexicano & Taqueria — Restaurant in Montgomery

This is my wife’s favorite place to eat. She is not a woman of favorites so that says a lot. Last night we had the worst experience anyone could ever have in a restaurant. Until this day we have never had a bad experience here and eat here regularly also always inviting so many ppl or recommending them to this place also writing reviews n how great they are and how they used to be affordable. But the price never stopped us from going because staff was always so sweet and food was so good. Well we had a bad server this time who had a nice nasty attitude from the moment we sat down which I figured she was just tired so that may be why she was so impatient. My wife asked about a dish we always get but because it was expensive she wanted to know if the price would be different. Waitress says she would think so because we are only getting two meant so it should be less but aske her twice and even suggested she go and check. She just repeated the same thing and proceeded to place the order. Chicken and steak is $15 if you get chicken steak and shrimp it is $18 so question was if we get chicken and shrimp would that be $15 too. Doesn’t state that in menu. Got bill and of course it was $88 and one of my children did not even get food smh on top of that waitress made a mistake with payment and then gathered her things and was getting ready to leave before even finishing with payment at the table. One of the managers yelled across the restaurant that we still had a open tab at our table we confirmed that it was indeed ours and then as soon as we finished paying and he seen we didn’t tip the waitress his attitude got really crazy as if he was on something. I mean out if no where things were going so smooth. My wife was a little irritated because as I stated this was her favorite restaurant her sister is getting her wedding catered for 150 ppl from this restaurant for next week all because of my wife and they did this to her her feelings were crushed that no one even apologized he just said that the waitress was part time not new but part time and that it was his fault because he had not gone over how the menu works with her. Even my daughter was confused and asked did we do something wrong. He kicked my family and I out of the restaurant like we did something wrong and my kids watched it like we were dogs on the street and told us there are other restaurants in the area and we should try them and this is our last night eating there and proceeded to close and lock the door in our face and all we could say to him was wow really. In total shock because he went from 0-100 really quick and we were not rude or disrespectful or anything we even told the other manger that we understood the girl might have been tired because she looked tired but she always looks that way when we see her. It’s sad that one bad apple will always spoil the bunch and sooner or later this place will be just like the rest. They get a lot of business so they don’t value all of their customers because they figure oh we have so many more we won’t miss you… but money is money and every time we go we spend a little over $100 plus tips plus the ppl we usually bring that’s gratuity this restaurant has made so much money from us I’m almost ashamed. But this just proves they do not care they are just running a business. If you are looking for great food though warfs next door to it is just as good with not even close to the terrible service. Just know if you go to sol and you have a problem expect to get an attitude and the other manager coming to the table to pretend to take his brother or friend away from talking to you and never coming back because they don’t care or value you they just want your money. This place was great my most favorite spot. I mean I am well known around here and always invite ppl out to this place and tonight was terrible the service was terrible. Waitress lied about the price of the food and then ended up charging more than what was said. Called the manager and while speaking to him his brother came and got him from the table (trying to save him from Convo with me) then when it was time to go the other manager who came to save his brother says oh we have another open tab for another ticket at your table that hasn’t been paid. We gave once card and two tickets waitress charged one ticket and left the other packet her bags and was about to head out the door without even asking was both tickets to be charged or even verifying where the other payment was so we assumed she got the memo and used her common sense . We ended up paying for food twice bill came out to be $88 and the another $33 and manger says oh get a menu because if you knew the menu then you know how the pricing goes and you shouldn’t have a problem. I tell him that’s not how that works I have been coming to you all since y’all opened I know the menu pretty well I just had a simple question and the waitress lied about it and before I could get anything else out he says to me since this is your go to place make this your last place there are other places in the area and tonight is your last night. SMH he was just rude for no reason we just did not tip the waitress because of her attitude and mistakes and once he seen we didn’t tip he got the worst attitude. As soon as I said I didn’t tip because of her pore service that’s when all bets were off with him. All he really had to say was I apologize for your experience and I hope next time we will be better for you all and thank you for dining tonight smh idk what happened tonight but this was the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. tonight was horrible and waitress gave bad service. She started everything that went on with them by first lying about how much my friends food was if she didn’t get steak and then charged for price of three meats and then double charged a ticket from another person at the table. One of the managers talked to us about it but never apologized instead told us that the waitress was part time so basically even though she been there for years it wasn’t her fault because she’s part time. Then his brother came to get him out of talking to us as if it wasn’t obvious what he was doing and then that same brother got very rude with us and kicked us out after my friend said we wouldn’t tip and told us if we knew the menu then we wouldnt have a problem and there are other places to eat and tonight will be our last night eating there. And then locked the door in our faces after pushing us out of the restaurant and all we could say was wow because that could have been very bad. It was the look on my friends daughter face she was so upset that the manager did that. When all he had to do was apologize for the experience and offer for it not to happen again the next time l. All she had to do was apologize for her behavior and mistakes and she good have gotten a hefty tip with the amount of ppl that were there with us but she chose to ignore us and then go and talk about it and laugh to the other workers as if we can’t understand what you are doing and she packed up her things and was about to head out the door without saying anything and we were the nicest to her even kept telling thank you whenever she broth the food and boxes and she still had the worst attitude those two have got to be on something or maybe they are dating because nobody acts like that just because our next place will be right next door at warfs they are soooo good food always fresh and no wait time everything on the...
