Waffle House — Restaurant in Montgomery

This waffle house was really good when it FIRST opened. Staff exceptional, food great. I recently went in there a month ago, for the first time in a long time, and it has changed. Food was good, service was not. Service was so bad, it lowered the quality of my food. As soon as my husband and I sat down to be waited on, the person who was waiting on us told us to give her a second, she was handling TO GO orders. That was fine, no big deal. Fifteen minutes passed, and she finally came to ask us what we wanted to drink, and by that time we went ahead, and ordered our food along with our drinks. She told us about 3 different times she was coming with our drinks, that she was handling TO GO orders FIRST. That was fine to say when we arrived, but once you greet us, you're supposed to do YOUR job. So we finally got our drinks.... 30 minutes later, AFTER we got our food. & not to mention, our food sat there ready for us to eat for probably about 8 minutes before we received it, I sat & watched. At first, thought it was someone else who just so happened to order the same meals, but then I saw her grab it to hand to us, when she had already been notified it was ready & walked past it 100 times before she decided it might be a good idea to bring to us. I guess she doesn't think she needs to wait on people, and that's fine, serving isn't for anyone. So maybe she should get a different job instead. She was rude, she had an attitude, and by no means cared if we had our drinks, or food, or whatever else we needed. We didn't ask for anything, BUT our drinks and food which is why you come to a place to eat, and she struggled bringing us those, because clearly as she mentioned to us several times TAKE OUT food was way more important than the people who would've tipped her 15$. I never tip less than 10$, but even with the horrible service, I tipped 3$. She shouldn't have gotten anything. I could've fixed our drinks ourselves, and got our food delivered to us on my own, at my house instead. NEVER COMING BACK HERE AGAIN! Worst Waffle House I have EVER been to, and that is saying A LOT because I am an easy person to please, I don't ask for a hundred extra stuff, just my DRINK AND FOOD, and maybe a straw & napkins, but that's it. & not to mention, I LOVE WAFFLE HOUSE, but definitely not this one. AWFUL! Also, I forgot to add... after we received our food, we waited another 5-8 minutes...

Worst waffle house ever. We arrived at this location this morning. There were two employees outside (not knowing that one of them was goin to be our waitress) having a loud conversation with someone in a car. We walked in, sat down. One of the other waitress staff got our silverware and drinks. I ordered a orange juice which was sour. So she flags one of the waitresses outside to come on in. So they come in, she never introduce herself. I got here attention, to tell her my oj didn't taste right. She say o I forgot to tell them that them a customer complain this morning about the on being sour. So she brings me a coffee. Then she goes a stood over by the sink with the other staff gossiping about stuff that happen yesterday. One of the managers called her about stealing milk, but she only took a cup for her girl Scout cookies. She went on and on and on. Finally she decided to come over and get our order. Never smiled or even told to make any kind of conversation. After she get our order she goes right back to the same conversation. She texting on her phone lays then phone down on the wood board the they cut sandwiches on. Digesting! Next is the grill cook cross contamination, his handling raw meat ( chicken breast, and steak) and putting bread in toaster and cut sandwiches with the same gloves. I didn't even finish my food, I left everything. Somebody is going to get really sick eating from this place. I wouldnt advise anybody to eat from this place. Very unprofessional. This is supposed to be a place of business leave your personal business at home, I'm came here to eat not to hear about your drama. Management needs to do...

Customer service was terrible. When I visited with my minor child were the only dine in customers. The tables that we were offered were dirty. When I respectfully pointed out to the waitress that the table and seat was not clean, there was an awkward silence across the room. They acted like I asked them to scrub the floor with a toothbrush or something. She cleaned it but eye rolls from the cook started. Our food was overcooked and the meat was so overseasoned after I told the waitress prior to ordering it that i preferred light seasoning. The waitress never checked on us because she and was busy laughing at the cook's distasteful jokes. The cook used a lot of profanity in front of my daughter. I told her to ignore them, but seemed like they got louder. She not respect me, my daughter, and obviously herself the way she was cursing and ranting on about her indecent lifestyle. So I left without giving a tip. The way they behave, they really owe ME a refund for the terrible service and my daughter an apology for the disrepect. Thank Goodness my daughter knows better not to model herself after so called women like them. This rating should...
