Rounding up to 4 stars here, as this is based on one experience only, but it would be something like a 3.6. However, in terms of the beer that was more like 4.1: we had two flights and a couple other full beers (group of 4) so tried about 80% of what they had; all were decent for their class/style, but in our opinion(s) nothing gold-medal spectacular, except they nailed it on the Mango Woman Sour.

The odd thing is there's not really anything Nordic here... Food-wise there is a lot that COULD BE and that would work well, especially with such a diverse beer list (Maybe: Smørrebrød, Herring w/Rye, Gjetost/Brunost, etc.) but the menu lacks anything Scandinavian. Instead, to be frank, rather generic offerings. (from other reviews it sounds like there WAS a pretty stellar bbq setup). Could be since this is new, we could not find their menu anywhere online either. In any case, we tried the couliflower and the pretzel both of which were fine, not remarkable or Nordic.

One thing that drags the rating down for me (and probably the other 80% of the population that does not smoke) is the patio, which allows smoking and if there are smokers it is hard to avoid the smoke dut to the layout. The furniture combo needs some rethinking if smoking is to be retained as allowed. So the patio gets a solid two. Service was friendly and mostly attentive about a 4. --- Assuming there is absolutely no intention of trying to relate the pub (food/atmosphere) in any way to Scandinavia or Nordic customs or experience, then I suppose the food would be about 3.8 and the interior something close four. But, of course, why if that is the name?

Long story short, good beer, limited but decent food - all with essentially nothing to do with Scandinavia - and, worth a stop primarily...

My husband and I came to Nordic for an event and when we went to the front to get a beverage I asked what they had for mead because there was one I really liked but couldn’t remember the name of it and the lady who helped us told us to use the QR code to look them up because they weren’t listed on the paper menu and thinking if you work there you should at least know the 5 you have or at least be able to look it up for the costumer quick instead of them awkwardly standing there for like 3 minutes… (I worked in the restaurant industry for 6 years and I thought this was very unprofessional) I was trying to get the QR thing to work on my phone but it wasn’t. I felt like I was holding up the line /her time and she almost gave us the vibe that she was annoyed and this isn’t the first time we had her and made us feel this way … I did ask for ice and I didn’t get it… the whole QR code thing is so confusing and I understand it’s hard to find servers but this was really frustrating and looking at previous reviews I’m not the only one… also I think the people who are checking the customers out should let them know once you tab out there will be a 50 dollar hold on your account… in conclusion I felt this was more of a job with this QR code thing than it was for us to go to a brewery to relax and have...

My sweet husband wanted to take us here to eat and drink. First let me say that it was extremely loud. The live music playing was making it hard to hear our waitress. Second, the food portions are extremely small. Even tho the food tasted good, I was pretty hungry after leaving. Maybe I should have drank more so I wouldn’t have felt so hungry. I had the mushroom burger. It was very yummy but small. My kids ordered the pretzel and the blueberry cream soda. The pretzel was too salty! I didn’t know you could order it without the salt. The cream soda was very delicious, probably the best cream soda I’ve ever tasted, but pricey. We spent $20 on cream soda drinks. So to sum it up; I won’t be coming here for dinner again. I can’t eat at a place where I leave hungry. This is a good place to just drink beer. Don’t come here if you’re super hungry. Oh, One thing I do want to mention is my husband had an Irish cold pressed Coffee with Kahlua, and it gave him the squirts. Not sure why if it was an almond creamer that was used. Hopefully they didn’t use regular milk. Like Heavy cream. I’m giving it a 3 stars because of the non generous portions, and the annoying live music that they had playing. They can...

This has been on my list of places to try and I am so glad I finally made it here! My husband and I make it a point to go out on date nights and I love when we find a restaurant with tasty food and good ambiance, this place hit both marks for sure! I loved the black walls and moody lighting in this restaurant, plus the funky art and taxidermy! Our server was awesome and food was amazing! We would love to come again in the summer and enjoy supper on the rooftop! The murals on the outside of the building are simply stunning! Created by the fabulous artists Shawn McCann and Allison Severson Thanks @nordictaphouse for a wonderful evening!
