I hate leaving a negative review but man this place was abysmal. The decor is nice enough but decor never factors into my reviews. It all comes down to food and price abd both were way off here. Much has been said about the lack of complimentary chips and salsa and I honestly had to see it to believe it. They really don't provide it... Absurd and that alone should knock this place off anyone's plans to go in my opinion. The only way this can be looked past is if the food is top tier...so...the chicken fajitas I ordered just might be tge worst I've ever had. Been to at least 40 different mexican places in my life and this takes the crown. For starters the "fajita" plate was 80% onions with a handful of scrawny tangled chicken pieces (not strips) strewn throughout. For the high price this is unnaceptable. I have never seen such a disproportionate amount of onions to chicken in my life. Shameful truly...and the taste...well...absolutely tasteless. No seasoning/no flavor. What little chicken there was was tough and awful tasting. The onions were also tough and flavorless and while there were supposed to be green peppers, I counted 1 and a half on the entire plate... There was absolutely no effort or passion in this food. It tasted like it was made by a machine. The tortillas also tasted store bought and they only have refried beans (no pinto as alternative) and they were flavorless as well. The rice was standard, nothing great. My mother also got something and also said it was awful after we left. It looked terrible to me while we were there but I didn't want to say anything as long as I could to hopefully let her enjoy her meal at least but she also agreed the food was terrible. I ate about half of my meal and just had to tap out. It was such poor quality I had to ask why I was putting it in my body at that point. I will also add that I have had bad stomach issues since eating there and imagine it was probably the poorly prepared chicken. I really must insist you go somewhere else. This place is more expensive than others and infinitely worse quality. I can't believe anyone would choose this over the many other options within 20 mins. The lack of chips/salsa alone is terrible. This place is...
Read moreI am 52 years old and I literally cannot recall when I've had such excellent Mexican food. Okay, I don't know if what I ordered was Mexican, Tex-Mex, Mex-Tex or what, but I do know it was fantastic. I was seated immediately, and as I sat down I had my first inkling that this was an authentic Mexican restaurant. The tip-off was the hot sauce - Valentina. I have never seen Valentina hot sauce in a Mexican restaurant, but it's the brand I buy for my own pantry. Now I was not in a hurry, but the service was very fast. I received chips and salsa in less than a minute. The chips were light and crisp - not greasy. You know how when you ask for a few minutes, the wait staff makes you wait forever before they come back to take your order? Not here. The waiter came back when he noticed I had put the menu down and took my order. I thought I'd have a long time to play spider solitaire on my phone before my food arrived, but it arrived in about three or four minutes. It was so fast in fact that I instantly suspected the entire meal had been prepared and frozen days before and heated in the microwave. I anticipated disappointment. I couldn't have been more wrong. Everything on the plate was perfect. The first few bites of my burrito were the perfect temperature and texture, so I kept waiting to hit a cold spot that is inevitably at or near the middle of a frozen then microwaved meal. Again, I was wrong. The temperature and texture were consistent throughout. My entree included French fries (I know - I thought it was a weird side too) and they were hot, crispy and not at all greasy. I wholeheartedly approve of the way they serve the food. It has to be that the meats are already hot and ready for plating, and then they steam the tortilla and put all the fixings in it. The last thing they do is make the French fries before serving. That way, everything is hot and fresh. Delicious. My meal was only $11 and I left my...
Read moreI had the #80 and it was absolutely amazing. So creamy and delicious. The problem came with the sides (the only reason I give a 4 not a 5. The rice side was very dry like it has been sitting in a warmer for a long time uncovered and the refried beans tasted like they came from a can. Since they were just the sides I do not really care that much since the steak #80 I had was some of the best Mexican I've had in a while.
My girlfriend had the #50 (tacos) got 3 for a somewhat decent price. She loved them but I wouldn't touch them with a 10 ft pole with how much cilantro was on them. All the cilantro lovers would rejoice about these thought. My girlfriend had nothing bad to say about that what so ever.
Overall great experience. The staff is amazing, service is quick and atmosphere is great!...
