Caribou Coffee — Restaurant in Monticello

Very unfriendly caribou coffee. After 1 year of switching to Starbucks, I started to consider caribou coffee again---what a disappointment. I love their sparkling peach black tea---and will ask for an additional cup of their sparkling water to dilute (to lessen the sweetness). At first they wanted to charge me for an Italian soda, and I told them that usually they wouldn't charge me for that---and when I got ready to pay for it, the lady told me we will need to start charging extra for those to cover costs along the line as in the future. Okay, I don't really need to know all that. Please start the process then let me know. I don't need to know something that has not been established yet and don't care. It made me feel horrible---man, what is wrong with caribou coffee? I don't know if they think it's okay to say these things to me because I am not white or what, but man, I feel a bit disrespected as a "valued"...

The customer service needs some work, I am sorry to have to say. Four out of five times I get the feeling that I am an “unwanted burden” as a customer. Note: I have experienced this solely going through the drive through, in the evening (I won’t mention which night of the week). Not the way you want to leave a customer feeling… And I do not get this from other places I go very often, or it’s usually a fluke if it does end up being a bad experience. The employees would benefit from some training on the importance-of and how-to be cheerful and thankful to patrons, leaving them glad they came and wanting to come back for more. I generally do not like to give bad reviews (I really don’t!), and I do not mean this in a mean spirit, I mean it genuinely. I hope this is helpful and I wish Caribou, Monticello...

This place is super sweet and very kind with great coffee. Yesterday around 8pm or maybe a bit earlier my sister went in to get coffee because i have been craving it since Monday unfortunately i have some recent diet restrictions. So she went in and was like hey this might sound weird but i was wondering if you had a decaf lactose free mocha coffee, its for my sister who just was diagnosed with cancer and she has diet restrictions. the barista looked at my sister and was like hold up wait here brought out the manager my sister told the manager what she said to the barista and they said oh my, wow, this whole order is on us. They gave us a free order thank you Caribou i appreciate the decaf lactose free mocha it was very delicious, that was super sweet of you! 10/10...
