This is the purist's coffee house. You can see the whole operation from raw bean to coffee when you walk in the door, I personally think that is amazing! They specialize in only coffee and are great at it. I also really enjoy the vibe, as it is centered around people who love coffee.

I highly recommend getting an espresso. What I dig with that, is that you get a bit of S.Pellegrino to cleanse your palate before. How cool is that? This is the only coffee shop I have seen do that.

I only wish they were open Saturday and Sunday, if I really have the hankering for the amazing coffee, I would have to drive to the other location in Ridgway as Montrose is the coffee roasting headquarters. I would take .5 a star off for that, but Google has only whole stars, so I rounded up to...

Before I came to Montrose, I was drinking coffee with lots of French Vanilla creamer :( Eric opened my eyes to how amazing coffee can be on it's own and I'm now hooked! I first experienced the "Tuma Tesso #4" from Ethiopia which blew my mind to how much flavor could be experienced in a cup of coffee! Then the "Fernando" was the complete opposite with a butter smooth finish that has become my go to morning coffee! These were my first "pour over" coffees and now I don't drink them any other way. Oh and did I mention he actually roasts everything in house? So you can't get these coffee's anywhere else! If you are a true coffee drinker and want to experience some of the best coffee in the western United States, it's right here at Cimarron Coffee Roasters...

Cimarron Coffee Roasters consistently delivers the finest coffee I've experienced. Their commitment to single-origin beans, freshly roasted to perfection, results in a truly exceptional cup. The meticulous roasting process ensures that the beans are never burnt, preserving the rich, nuanced flavors.

What truly sets Cimarron apart is their unwavering dedication to quality. In a region often lacking access to high-quality coffee, Cimarron stands alone as a beacon of excellence. Their unwavering commitment to sourcing and roasting the finest beans is truly commendable.

If you're a coffee enthusiast seeking an unparalleled experience, I wholeheartedly recommend Cimarron...

This place is so cool! The coffee shop is located in an old brick building which brings vintage-inspiring vibes. The inside is cute and quaint - keeping the brick structure in-tact (rather than modernizing it) - with a couple of tables, a cute barista counter, big bags of coffee beans, and complete with a beautiful vintage bean grinder. The menu is small but to the point. We got a matcha latte and a Bhakti chai. Both we're beyond excellent! The matcha is mellow and I can definitely taste the high quality ceremonial matcha used. The chai is "bitey" with a strong ginger flavor. It's refreshing! The barista was friendly and helpful! I would most definitely recommend this place!

Highly recommend coming here if you're in the area. Brick walls and artisanal, well-chosen coffees make this place a nice, warm getaway from the cold. Me and my wife chatted with the owner and he had a wealth of knowledge that made the coffee we were drinking that much more enjoyable. Feel free to ask questions, he seemed very happy to share! Covid-wise: masks are required when walking around/ordering, tables are spaced out at a safe distance, and you're not required to wear a mask while sitting down. Few tables are open due to the need to be spaced apart.
