Johnny Roll House — Restaurant in Montvale

All members of my family eat at Johnny Roll House very often, and we simply LOVE the food here, yet for some reason I had never written a review. So here it is! I went again last evening, and our meals were as delicious as usual. I especially love the Johnny Rock Shrimp appetizer, and myself, my son, his friends, my girlfriend, and her daughter have never been disappointed with ANY of Johnny's sushi dishes, and we've sampled many. Johnny's staff is extremely friendly, attentive, and dedicated to a restaurant they love, and Johnny himself is a wonderful host and an even a better chef. Johnny Roll is a neighborhood sushi place that if you are not looking for it you might just drive pass it. Once you are inside, there is a small bar that you can sit at and bring your own bottle (they do not have a bar otherwise). Seems pretty busy with take out

We got the “Basic Roll Platter” (10 rolls) - All were good, prepared quite well and, overall, did not disappoint. Although our waitress was very sweet, service was a bit slow, we had to quite a few times flag her to refill water or green tea. Also, one of our rolls were wrong and they brought it wrong again for the 2nd time.

If I could leave more than 5 stars, I would. My boyfriend and I got take out, and to start, the staff was extremely welcoming and friendly.
