This place doesnt even deserve 1 star. I use to work for this establishment… let me give you all some facts thatll make sure you never even consider eating here.

First of all, this place is an absolute disaster. Ive seen kitchens on kitchen nightmares look better than this place. I was the breakfast line cook and every morning i would come into a pile of dishes not washed from the previous night. Ive worked in several restaurants and never have i ever seen anything so absurd. So this problem leads into a couple others… there is now mold growing down the walls and thats not surprising since they cant even clean the dishes how do you expect them to keep the kitchen itself clean. On top of this issue this has lead to a disgusting amount of flys and insects in the kitchen. Completely unsanitary.

Okay so if that wasnt gross enough for you, i unfortunately got sick and threw up.. the executive chef tried brushing it under the rug having me still handle food while being sick. At this point this is where i instantly started looking for new jobs because this is just absolutely inhumane. I would never want someone ill handling my food so why am i being forced to handle others. Probably because theyre understaffed with only 4 total cooks and that includes the executive chef himself.

So if this wasnt inhumane enough for you at this point i have 2 more factors that are just absolutely absurd. Firstly, my signature was forged by the chef himself logging false numbers under the safe temperature safety log. Not only is it illegal to forge a signature but THEY DONT EVEN HAVE A WORKING THERMOMETER IN THE FIRST PLACE so who knows if any of those numbers are accurate and if the food is safe to eat or not. Im pissed my name is on those documents that i never once verified or signed myself.

Lastly, and most importantly to me, and less important to you… but just so you all can have a full understanding of the people opperating this pathetic business… wage theft.

They literally edited my time card to try to steal some time off me and when i called them out for this, the chef (which it says “editted by say so name”) was in full denial about doing so but quickly after i caught them it was reverted to my original times but now it says editted by the HRs name. Super sketchy people. Super sketchy business.

If i were you, i would stay as far away from this establishment as possible. Sheetz is right down the street and i can promise you that gas station food is 1000% better and...

As a hotel eatery, it looks more like a sports bar, a large bar at the focal point of the place. Several TVs are on blasting several sports events.

It’s an average / adequate eating for its purpose and location, which is inside a hotel in PIT airport hotel row.

The dining area overall is dimly lit despite those TV screens over the bar.

The menu is short, which one leads to think some mastery of the really short listing.

  • UNFORTUNATELY, 3 of the 5 listed (OVERPRICED) mains/entrees were NOT available 😡😡😡…. THIS IS A TERRIBLE FAUX PAS for any eating establishment.

  • Unavailability of food listed in a short menu means poor planning👎👎👎👎👎.

The rest of the food selections are pub-grubs, which is not surprising given the focal point of the place is a bar.

The Fried Brussels Sprouts is prepared well. Its Crunchiness is enhanced by bits of bacon🙂. HOWEVER, the BBQ sauce overpowers the flavor and crispy sprouts🫤….PLEASE have the option of putting this sauce on the side OR ditch it altogether since IT IS NOT NEEDED!!!

The Burger is equally prepared well, the patty itself is flavorful😊😊. The garnishes especially the Swiss cheese lifts up the burger.

it is served with very crispy thin strips of freshly cut potatoes. BUT it is salty🫤.

There’s a decent cocktail menu and a short list of wines, most are unknowns… so it’s all luck of draw.

Service however...

My wife and I went here around noon for a wake for my best friends mother (Ann Poplawski) on 2/24/2023 and what an awesome dining experience it was! There were about twenty plus people attending and Christi was our server! She was the only server waiting on us and did an outstanding job tending to our every need! The place is not open this early normally but accommodated us for this event! Most all of us were Catholic and since it was Friday during lent we wanted fish! The chef that was preparing our meals had a late delivery on his fish and it was frozen so there was a limited supply of seafood to serve us all! He was great in explaining the problem and went out of his way to use what he had on hand to give us various seafood and other dishes to our liking! All the food along with the desserts were out of this world! Kudos to the Chef and our server Christi and all the others involved that made our wake for (Ann Poplawski) a time to remember! THANKS...

While staying at the PIT Airport Doubletree I stopped in here one morning for breakfast. They offer a buffet for $18 (current price as of 6/28/23) and a regular a’la carte menu too. I opted for the breakfast quesadilla from the breakfast menu. They give a carafe of coffee on the table, which was just ok, but wasn’t very bold (more watered-down) and was warm, not hot. The quesadillas came out within about 10 mins, which was good for my tight timeline. They tasted decent, nothing special, but definitely tasty. Service was decent… though I will say the ladies working here were very friendly. Not a bad option when staying at this hotel for breakfast. But Egg N’at is right next door and I’ve been there before, definitely a larger, more creative menu and better execution for breakfast.
