This was our third or fourth time here but the first after their reopen and new management. Our waitress was pleasant and we were greeted by all when we entered and were sat at a table within no time. Our drink order went in and not long after receiving our drinks we ordered. We ordered lunch bento boxes. My salmon(sake teriyaki) was cold fishy smelling but remarkably didn’t taste like teriyaki anything. I am guessing my salmon was cooked not today. My salad was brown and and past fresh. The vegetable tempura were good, but you don’t want to pay $13 for some deep fried vegetables. My husbands Bento box was chicken teriyaki and the saki teriyaki, now my husband will eat just about anything but not today his chicken was inedible, and his salmon was slightly warmer than mine, he was very hungry so he ate more than I did. The mint that came with the check was wet inside. If I’m being very honest, I have to admit that my prior experiences at this establishment were better under the old management. You shouldn’t encourage people to give reviews when the food sucks. Then again I am in Oklahoma flatland locked state so perhaps I just shouldn’t expect anything more than what I got, which was...
Read moreIt is rare that I leave Review for any restaurant but in this case it's worth sharing. This review is only in regards for the Nigiri as that is all I will ever eat here. I have been eating sushi since I was a young boy and it's always been my favorite food but after my latest few experiences at Sakana all sushi will judged differently. The first time I went I tried the tuna, white tuna and salmon. Usually white tuna is my favorite fish but alas Sakana sushis salmon blew me away. It was like I was eating salmon for the very first time, it literally made me shudder. The second time I went I had the salmon (couldn't resist), the white tuna and yellowtail. I normally don't much like yellowtail but I figured if the salmon made new question my existence why not? It was INCREDIBLE! This latest time I went I got adventurous and tried thE flounder because I've never had it. It was unbelievable! My go to lunch special will now always be the salmon, flounder and yellowtail. It's obvious that this sushi chef really knows...
Read moreI went there with my son and daughter for dinner. Although it took a long time for us to get the sushi, maybe 15 - 20 minutes, it was great! The guy that took my order, forgot my salad and gave us all flat sodas. I had to ask a different waiter to bring us water instead. Which took 10 minutes to get. I did feel really bad for the person making my sushi because there was someone arguing with him In front of my family. I believe it was the owner. The owner had his entire family there. It started to get loud and rowdy with all of the kids running a muck. I wanted to tip the Person that made us are sushi and when I asked the person checking us out if I could tip him, she said the tip is going to be divided between her and him which I felt was unfair. All she did was bring us our waters while this man made sushi after sushi in a place with no air conditioning at all. Over the years this place has just gone downhill. The only good thing about this place is the sushi...
