Genghis Grill — Restaurant in Moore

The service here was terrible, we were seated and told our server would be with us shortly. We waited and nobody was showing up so my husband went to ask if we were still supposed to grab our own bowls and go through the line. We were told we hand to wait for our server to come take our names and give us our slip, ok. The server shows up and starts taking drink orders and starts walking away before everyone gave their drink order. We never got asked if we wanted any appetizers we had to ask someone for them. We get our drinks (except my husbands whom they forgot AND when he did get it, it was wrong) and he takes our names so we go get our food, I got mine first and was a quarter of the way through before my husband got his. They came and brought our bills before my mother in-law and father in-law even got their food which wasn’t till I was a good halfway through. At no point did they come to just check on us and refill our drinks (we had to ask for those as well). And top off the whole horrible experience, me and my husband were given a $25 gift card. They ran the full charge of $45.58 plus an additional $6.00 to my account when we only owed $20.58. We called right after leaving and they said it would be fixed the next day. We checked throughout the next day and it was never fixed so we called again and the manager said maybe it was because of the holiday so he would try to have it fixed by the NEXT day. Again I checked throughout the day and it still wasn’t fixed! However I check this morning and there was a change now I have a charge for $39.58 and a charge for $6.00, which are STILL wrong! We only owed them $20.58! We left cash tip, which let me tell you was WAY more than they deserved. To be honest I’m to the point I’m ready to call my bank and completely have any and all charges from them removed since they don’t seem to want to fix their “mistake”. I do not know how this place has such good reviews or how it’s still even in business. Because I know none of us will ever be...

I've been visiting this GG location for a very long time.. Some of the commentary that follows will address the "age" of this restaurant..

Anywho, my wife and I visited for an early dinner to take advantage of a birthday BOGO bowl offer..

We built our own small bowls, based on fried rice with a fried egg in each.. After we ordered at the table, we proceeded to the prep line where we found ample fresh ingredients across the wide selection of meats and vegetables..

The prep line was amply stocked and very clean, which was what I've come to expect and experience after many visits to this location over the years..

The bowls were delivered hot, fresh, and with a generous portion of fried rice as the base..

The service was great.. A more experienced server seemed to be training a new server, and both did a great job taking care of our needs throughout our stay..

My only recommendation to management is to consider making an investment to bring the interior of this restaurant into the 2020s.. The interior is certainly showing its age, with many booth seats showing taped repairs to their vinyl upholstery.. Further, the heavy use of wood surfaces throughout simply date this location in a very profound way..

Another concern that has been prevalent over the years is that the storefront faces west, and the afternoon Oklahoma summer sun radiates in through the large glass windows, and that overpowers the HVAC system; always has and seemingly always will.. It was quite warm in the restaurant on the 90+° Oklahoma summer late afternoon..

One of the awnings over the outdoor seating area is torn, too.. The restaurant just needs a little TLC and a bit more modern touches..

Like I said, the food and service were great, but the atmosphere is lacking a little.. It won't keep us from returning for future visits, but it could turn a more fickle...

We walk in and where not met by a host so after asking a waitress she tells us to sit where we would like. Then our actual server asks us what we would like to drink and which bowls size we want, I asked how much the large bowl considering this was my second time ever coming and she said well if you would have stopped by the hosted stand You would have received a menu... are you serious. All of this was while she sat down next to me like she knew me. Considering I'm on a road trip that's impossible. So unprofessional at this store. The only reason they got one stars is because the actual grill guy was nice, and that is being gracious do to not being able to leave zero stars.when we finally got our food, the rice was very undercooked and underportioned, at this point we paid for our drinks and left. Our server didn't even offer to get us a manager, or apologize, or anything just an "ok". As for my waitress here are a few tips.

1. quit. This is not you job field.
2. don't lecture a customer on ANYTHING. EVER.
3. Pretend you are interested, you could have atleast have done that.
4. don't move a table back to my table while im sitting there, then roll around 5 minutes later to clean it and say " I'm sure no one sat here but I'm gonna clean it anyways." When I just saw the people eating there leave.

Do yourself a favor and do NOT use this location, keep driving. The next one is not that far away.
