Ross Dress for Less — Local services in Moore

I’ve gone to this Ross for as long as I can remember. Always a better selection and less of a line than the closer Norman store. But I will NEVER go back after today. I ran in there on my lunch break (I do this often because it’s close to my job) to see if I could grab something for my daughters Xmas program this evening. I realize I left my wallet at the office and asked the security lady at the front of there was any way they could hold 3 items for me until I could come back after work. She was super sweet and said “absolutely, just take it back to the dressing room. They will hold for 24 hours”. Perfect! Or so I thought. I go back to the dressing room and am told they can hold the 2 dresses but not the shoes. WTH. The security lady knew I had shoes because the alarm started ringing because we were close to the door. She deactivated the alarm for me before sending me back to the dressing room. I asked to speak with the manager and she also refused to hold the shoes. Not such a big deal except I’m last minute shopping and this is the only pair! Super annoyed that the policy changed from the front of the store to the back of the store. And that the “store manager” (although who knows for certain because her name tag wasn’t visible) couldn’t make an exception after her employee wrongfully informed me that my items could be held for 24 hours. We're shopping for my husband and was hardly able to find anything in his size granted he's put on a little bit of weight recently but he's in a 2x or 3x as far as shirts go and a 40x30 or 42x30 in pants. Those really aren't so large as to need to absolutely go to a big and tall store cuz when he's there he really can't find s* that fits at me there and that's not normally a problem at places like Ross but we went to three different stores and a two week period some of them twice and there was little to nothing there that would fit him that's pretty aggravating and their shoes have gone up and price almost doubled even they were usually around 20 bucks and they were nice now they're not so nice and they're about 40 bucks each pair ridiculous if you ask me I don't know what happened but somebody needs to go back to the original vendor they were using if I was to...

Selection was okay and that's the only reason it gets 2 stars. My problem is that I had 2 young toddlers with me by myself and $150 worth of stuff. When the cashier finished scanning she called next in line over before I had even entered my pin to pay. While I was rushing to gather my things, as she had already started moving the next person's items over, I realized the glass items were in a bag falling over on top of each other with no protection. Once I got everything I had to tear off my own receipt with a 1 and a half year old in one arm, a large wall hanging, 5-6 bags and a 3 year old in the other.
