I have been following this place since the food truck days. I was unfortunately unable to visit the brick and mortar location for so long because I live south of uptown and don’t come this way often.
I drove an extra 20 minutes north today because I remembered how good this place was. My memory didn’t do it justice.
This is one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, and in the top 3 smash burgers I’ve ever had. One of those smash burgers is in LA, one of those smash burgers is the one I make at home with beef I grind myself.
So to find something that can compete and truly deliver the superiority of the smash burger over all other burgers is truly a gift.
I ordered the double Bae with fries. At first bite the Maillard Reaction produced by flat top griddled beef fat is apparent and preserved to your plate with 360° crispy edges that burst with umami between each bite. After the third bite I was so impressed with the authenticity of the smash burger, I stood up to order my second, the triple.
Burgers aren’t “healthy” food in the modern sense. But the quality of ingredients here was on full display as I plowed my way through my second burger. The burgers weren’t over-sauced, or with too much cheese (common sins of smash burger establishments, that point to a lack of confidence in the quality and seasoning of the beef…but I digress), and they are ground by local farms. So it became apparent that the reason I didn’t literally roll out of Bae’s, is because the food I ate, was real food, and it was good.
The fries have significantly improved since the food truck days. Gone are the shoe strings in favor of a traditional cut fry. It didn’t taste or appear to be cut in house, but they are delicious and a lovely compliment to such a delicious burger.
Also, it’s 2023 I must say, these clientele were truly lovely people to be around. Conversations swirled about regarding church and families spending time together. Many laughs were had (even with me personally) while I was in the restaurant. Which is no surprise since the Bae herself is one of the kindest human beings I’ve interacted with. I hope that more than burgers, this place can be a reminder for people what kindness looks like.
An absolute 10/10. A triumph of a burger joint, and perhaps the only true smash burger I’ve had this side of the...

The staff is nice and respectful, the place was nice and clean. But the food is mediocre at best. If you get the garlic Parmesan fries they put entirely too much garlic on it, and I love garlic, but I couldn’t even taste the fries or the Parmesan because it was so overpoweringly garlic. The ranch they have isn’t any help, it doesn’t even taste like ranch. Very poor attempt at homemade ranch. The burger itself was okay, the buns were burnt not toasted, they put entirely too much sauce on the burger to where the top bun will just slide off and get so soggy it’s almost like eating wet bread. The sauce they put on the burger is okay, it’s not bad but it really overpowers the burgers natural flavors.
The menu is very small, which wouldn’t be a problem if the food was good. But there’s no real variety, you either get a burger, a garlic burger, or a patty melt. I figure a dedicated burger place would have the usually LTM or bacon cheese burgers but I guess not.
If you saw this place on social media like I did, trust me it looks better than it tastes.
I got the double cheeseburger with garlic parm fries and a drink (the combo) and I tried I really did, the burger was okay at first then got a few more bites in and it just didn’t taste right, just straight up not good. I went after the fries as a saving grace, and I barely even ate one fry and it was enough for me.
All and all you’re going to be spending atleast 15-20$ on yourself if you eat, you bring a date that’s easily 40$. You can have a nice dinner at Logan’s for that. If you want a smash burger go to Culver’s, Freddie’s, or Steak n Shake, you’re going to spend less money, and get a better tasting burger than this place.

Read moreSo, I’ve been following this restaurant’s IG account for a few months now and the time has come for my family and I to be able to try their burgers. We don’t eat fast food burgers, but will try restaurant burgers with good reviews. I had a nurses skill lab this day and after it ended, decided to drive 30 mins to this place. I was greeted as soon as I came in. The ambience inside was relaxing and chill. The person at the counter was helpful and patient as it was my first time to order from them. I basically dared my family at home without them knowing by ordering 3 of their double patty of “The Bae”, one double patty of “Bae’s Patty Melt”, one double patty of “The G.B.B.” (for my work lunch the next day), a medium regular fries, and a medium garlic parm fries. From placing the order to having it freshly cooked only took 10 mins, did not feel like I waited at all (also, it helped that I came after lunch hour rush). The fries were hot and the seasoning was on point. I took a bite of the burger before leaving the parking lot and had the same seasoning as the fries, but there was more seasoning plus their “Bae sauce” is a must try for fries and their burgers. This was my very first “smash burger” even though there’s a couple of so-called smash burger restaurants minutes away from my house but opted to try Bae’s instead. I live an hour away and trust I was munching on them hot fries. Luckily, the food was still warm when I got home. It would’ve taken me hour and a half if I was to drive from my house to this place. I think next time we will just order single patties as they fill you up good. The patties maybe smashed thin, but their actual size is bigger than my favorite potato bun brand (Martin’s). Highly recommend this place if you’re truly looking for that thin...
