Very disappointed in this new location. As soon as we got there we were greeted by a male server that seemed to have an attitude as soon as I requested to sit in a booth. And it never got any better from that point on. This was my first time at Rio 150 and I was so excited. I knew we were going there so I went on FB to see what was on the menu and to see if they had live music (they didn't). I got very excited when I come across a post with these 5 delicious looking tacos. I sent a message asking what kind they were, hoping they were birria tacos, and they were. Well we started to order and had the queso and guacamole. I asked if I could get the gringo guacamole without onions and he said I could but he continued to talk about a different one that was more chunky. I continued to let him know that we wanted the gringo and of course the other came out and we had to send it back and got the correct one. But that and the queso was delicious. Then we ordered and I got the birria tacos without onions and cilantro. So much was going on with the server being very impatient I didn't even ask if anything came with them and he definitely didn't ask if I wanted any rice and beans. When our food arrived I honestly thought I received the wrong food. I brought this to the servers attention and showed him a picture of a dish made there and posted on FB and his response was " well you ordered it without onions and cilantro". I was blown away. Needless to say I didn't pay for them but he did say I could have them for free but after tasting them I couldn't even eat them. Very bad first visit. I even brought this to the attention of who ever would be reviewing FB messages and sent a picture. They responded and asked what location and the servers name. Not once an apology and didn't respond after that. I hate this was my experience because I hear so many good reviews on this establishment but honestly more on the great margaritas not the food. Again very disappointed!! Please know the picture posted of the delicious looking tacos is what's advertised on FB and the other picture is...
Read moreI was excited to visit this location and had high hopes because a friend recommended it to me.
When my husband and I walked in, the two ladies at the door didn’t say a word. I said, “Hello, can we get a table for two please, and could it be a booth?” One of them said “yes” and led us to a table.
A couple of minutes later, the other woman who had been at the door brought out chips and salsa. She said, “It’s very hot” (referring to the salsa), then walked off.
About seven minutes went by with no one coming to the table. At that point, my husband and I were thinking about leaving and going to the Concord location instead.
Eventually, a waiter showed up and asked what we’d like to drink. He didn’t introduce himself, I only found out his name later from the receipt. He brought our drinks and left again for a while.
When he came back to take our food order, he seemed completely uninterested. He kept looking around and tucking his hair behind his ear the whole time we were talking.
Once again, he disappeared, and someone else actually brought our food after about 25 minutes.
My husband loved his meal. Mine tasted great, but it came out cold. I couldn’t enjoy the food because it was cold, and by then I was already frustrated with the service and just ready to leave. The waiter never came back to check on us, and we had to ask another server to find him so we could get the check.
The restaurant itself is beautiful and the food really is good. Other servers seemed friendly and attentive with their tables. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the service we received.
I visited today and still left the server a tip, but I wouldn’t return to this location. I’d definitely go to...
Read moreI've been here a few times and it has always been very consistent. Food and service are always on point. However, last night we had service issues I thought were worth sharing. We were a party of 3 and put our name in to get a table. There was a group of 4 in front of us and was told we would be just after them. Within a couple of minutes, the group before us was seated. As we are waiting, another group of 4 came in and registered at the hostess stand, and was seated immediately. I went and asked the hostess if they take reservations (which I knew they didn't) and was informed that she "forgot" about us. Was told that we would be the next group seated. While waiting, another group walked in, checked in with the hostess stand, and were seated within a couple of minutes. Again, I went back up to the hostess to ask when we may get seated and was informed that she forgot about us again. Finally, after waiting over 30 minutes to be seated, the hostess brought us to our seat. Not really sure what was going on and why the hostess seemed to "forget" about us. Plenty of other options for good Mexican food in the area that will be getting my...
