As a Moraga native, I can't help but be excited about the Canyon Club; it's a fantastic new addition to a town that has held onto its timeless charm for decades. The brewery's diverse drink menu caters to all tastes. While I'm a big fan of their kombucha and enjoy sipping on champagne, the real treat is their craft beer. However, their kombucha and bubbles provide a refreshing alternative for those seeking a non-alcoholic option. The food menu is equally impressive. The tacos are bursting with flavor (I typically order them grilled), and the fried chicken sandwich is a crowd-pleaser. They've truly mastered the art of pairing great food with great drinks. I'd also highly recommend their Barvarian pretzels with beer cheese. Another aspect I truly love about this place is the local merchandise they offer. From stylish shirts and cozy sweatshirts to mugs, disc frisbees, and hats, it's impossible to leave without finding a souvenir that suits your taste while of course representing Moraga. Don't forget to ask for free stickers! The staff here consistently deliver a positive and fun atmosphere. Whether it's the bartender recommending the perfect brew or the servers ensuring we have everything we need, the service is top-notch. Their outdoor seating area is a true gem. It exudes a comfortable, laid-back vibe that makes us feel right at home. It's the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy a sunny afternoon. I can't forget to mention the bathrooms - they're like no other. The guys' bathroom is a tribute to The Big Lebowski, complete with quirky decor that puts a smile on your face. On the other hand, the women's bathroom is decked out with a Princess Bride theme, adding a touch of whimsy to the experience. I’ve noticed that a majority of the clientele hails from the Lamorinda area, making it feel like a closely-knit community hangout. It's the kind of place where you can strike up a conversation with friendly locals or simply enjoy some quality time with your loved ones. In summary, this Canyon Club is a hidden gem that I'm happy to call my go-to spot. If you haven't visited yet, it's definitely worth a trip to experience its unique charm and positive vibes.

Great atmosphere. Yummy food! A group of us visited after a lovely hike nearby. We sat inside due to the cold weather. Surprisingly quiet inside. I was expecting not to be able to hear each other over the chatter of others. Staff were friendly but very busy. Getting their attention took some work. I'm not a fan of QR Code ordering. Missing the human interaction with staff. I wished they had paper menus so not everyone was staring at their phones at the table. Our table had the big a$$ quesadilla, brussel sprouts, kids tenders, kids hotdog, fish and chips and some non alcoholic beverages. Fold will definitely bring me back. The brussel sprouts were a huge hit around the table. I'd visit for those alone. Portions are huge. You can definitely share the quesadilla between 2 people. Food tasted fresh. The plating was very appealing. Hoping to try the pretzels next visit. Outdoor seating looked comfy. Looks like a hot spot when the weather is warm again. While they did have heaters outdoors it was cozier inside. Glad to see Moraga getting more great restaurants in town.

After a day of driving through the twisty, tiny, winding, elevated roads of Lafayette Orinda and Moraga househunting, it was time for a break at the Canyon Club Brewery for dinner. We had our two small dogs with us so we needed to choose a place that welcomed animals. We ordered directly from our phones and the waiters brought our selections as they became available. Easy! My husband enjoyed the Hazy IPAs and I sipped an ale as we dipped our pretzels in warm cheese. I really enjoyed the chicken sandwich. There was something on the menu for everyone. The outdoor seating was necessary since we had the dogs. We chose a shaded picnic table today since we were eating but they were other lounge chairs available if you were just here to enjoy a beer.

This was not a pleasant experience. We came here for a late lunch after a long hike. I called ahead of time to make sure they had room because the AFC/NFC games were on. They said they had room no problem. We arrived 5 minutes later and waited about 10 minutes - no one said anything, one group of two ahead of us, plenty of available tables, didn't seem understaffed at all. We were eventually helped and taken to a table inside. The staff member said NOTHING when they sat us down. We sat for about 10 minutes wondering when we might get water, menus, something (again, the staff member said NOTHING to us when we sat down). Finally my 10 year old got up to find us self-serve water (which is totally fine to have, but we had no idea because the staff member didn't say anything to us). Another few minutes went by and still no one helped us, how do we order? We asked a staff member who was walking by if we could be helped, he told us, "oh, sorry, I guess no one told you, you order via the QR code," and walked off. Pretty annoying, would have been nice to have been told when we sat down because we had no idea. So we ordered via the QR code. Two kids burgers, fish and chips, adult burger (asked for well done) and quinoa salad (with added avocado and grilled chicken). Our food came and the adult burger that was specified to be well done was basically raw and covered in so much aioli that the whole burger was a soggy mess. My quinoa salad was supposed to come with bell peppers, grapes, apples and arugula. If I had not gotten the avocado and grilled chicken, it basically would have been just quinoa. I had, and I'm not joking, four sprigs of arugula, no apples at all, possibly one slice of a bell pepper diced and literally one half of one grape. We were also NEVER helped by any staff or checked in on. It was the silent seating from the staff member and someone bringing food, that's it. But we were forced to give a 20% tip by the ordering system and they added an additional fee for ordering through the app. Overall it was a pretty lame experience. Giving two stars because my kids ate their burgers, but I definitely...
