Closed While in Line – Unacceptable Service
I walked into McDonald's and stood in line behind three people, waiting patiently to place my order. At exactly 11:00 PM, a worker from the back loudly announced, “If you’re in line and haven’t ordered, we’re done doing food—leave.”
Seriously? I was in line, clearly ready to order, and the guy just shut it all down because he was fed up and wanted to go home. No warning, no courtesy, just a dismissive shout that the kitchen was closed, even though the store was technically still open and customers were standing there waiting.
I work in food service, and I would never treat guests like that. It’s one thing to stop taking new customers after a cutoff time, but to ignore people who are already inside and waiting? That’s just lazy and unprofessional.
Unfortunately, this kind of attitude has become the standard at too many McDonald's locations. Staff who don’t care, don’t communicate, and shut things down just because they feel like it. It’s disappointing and...
Read moreThe food was served fast and fresh. The kiosk to order was only working on one side due to covid concerns. The reason for the 3 out of 5 is due to the kiosk unit and men's restroom. The kiosk unit was very unresponsive and took over 15min to order for a family of four. By the time we were through using the unit. My fingers and thumb were sore due to having to press so hard on the screen in order to get it to accept inputs for our orders. The restroom only had one stall with a toilet and changing station for the little ones. The urinal was taped off with a bag on it. Other than those two things the restaurant was good and I would recommend them for a quick bite. My last tip of advice is if you want special items or selections for your meals do not order here. Read moreWent through the drive through got cold fries. Parked and went in. I'm thinking this either happens hardly never because, like me, a lot of us are just passing through. The manager saw me and was nice. She then told one of the workers what I was waiting for and went about her business.
Then same guy puts 2 orders of fries up and pushes the order through the drive through window. I soak up and ask what was wrong with those? He says not fresh enough. Then new fries come up he puts another order up. Manager is back and mentions again what I'm waiting for. He pushes another drive through order out then decides i can have mine now. Hands it off to someone rise to give to me.
I can only imagine how many dissatisfied customers come through there and just don't have the desire to stop and go in or turn back. I guess $15 an hour doesn't teach you customer service....
