I tend to give places the benefit of the doubt, because Iāve worked in food service before and I can understand when times get busy.
But Iāve tried this place 5 separate times, and each time was more worse than the last.
The 1st time I ordered online through Door Dash. I ordered 30 minutes in advance because it was for my lunch break at work. It was to be picked up at 6:25pm. I arrived at 6:20pm and the food wasnāt ready until 6:45pm so I was waiting for an extra 20 minutes to get my food and I was late to work. It was only two orders of carne asada fries.
The 2nd time I went through the drive thru, I got to the menu board and waited for any kind of response to take my order. Although they were busy and the line was full in the drive thru, I was even calling out hello to no response. I was sitting there for more than 5 minutes at the menu board. I thought something maybe was wrong with the menu intercom, but when I pulled forward and I hear the person behind me ordering and getting a response. Iām sure you can tell what my reaction was.
The 3rd time I ordered online again and ordered earlier in advance to prevent the same thing from happening the first time. It was still the same thing but even worse, I watched them cook up my food on the spot when I got there. I completely missed my lunch break and was late to work and only got a few bites before I realized parts of it wasnāt cooked all the way. I ordered the Trio Fries with Carne asada, Shrimp, and Chicken. Everything was fully cooked, except the chicken which was almost gummy like. I ate the āDuoā Fries instead.
The 4th time I couldnāt even order. The online ordering for Door Dash said they were closed despite them being a 24 hour restaurant. So I called the store to verify if they were open. Whoever answered, said yes and then quickly hung up before I could even ask if I can make a phone order since the online was down. I tried to call back multiple times, the line would ring once or twice and then hang up. So that was the end of that.
The 5th, and this was the final time I came back. I placed another order online, but this time I placed the order around 4pm and had it at a set time to be ready at 6:20pm. At around 5:30pm I get a Door Dash notification saying that my order is already done and ready to be picked up. So my order was completely done and made an hour before my scheduled pick up time. When I arrive to get the food at 6:20pm the cashier gives me my food. I tell the cashier about the message saying that my food was done an hour ago, and asked him if it was even still warm. All he did was lightly touch the side of the bag and said āYeah, it should be good, if not just bring it back and weāll warm it up.ā I didnāt have time to voice my concerns any longer because my lunch break at work was running out and had to leave.
I ordered 2 Carne Asada Baked Potatoes, 6 Rolled Chicken Tacos with Guacamole and Cheese, and an extra order of Sour Cream and Guacamole. When I finally sat down, I find that both Potatoes were still raw and undercooked. So only the meat, cheese, and sour cream were the only things edible from that. I was also missing the extra sour cream.
Overall my visits here havenāt been good. From what I can tell and what Iāve seen they are understaffed and/or over worked. I think this may be a family run restaurant too Iām not sure, but they should reconsider a lot of things so they donāt get slammed with the food crowd so hard. Even though some of the times I went it was busy, most it was pretty sparse and dead. Maybe they should also reconsider their current choice of being 24 hours. I always notice that when a restaurant is 24 hours the quality takes a large downturn so maybe this can be a cause for concern if they want to continue to keep there customers and bring in new customers. The times Iāve went, even with all the negatives. The 1st time, despite it being late, the food was great, my carne asada fries were perfect. That is what kept me coming back and giving the benefit of the doubt, but unfortunately now I wonāt be...
Ā Ā Ā Read more*Jul 2024- Good again! Cashier Alex is so on point, chill, and efficient with getting you going. Long lines on drive thru cuz food is great, but man I'm so glad not having to sit and argue with cashier's for more than 2 sauce packets and item. Got 2 orders of Asada Fries, beans, and horchata so expected only 4 packets and having to fight for 6 more but I was as at the window for less than 2 minutes and got out with all I asked for. 3rd time getting him as cashier and honestly makes me wanna go more often!
Pretty good. Can get pretty busy but good food 24/7. Service is very bad. Has gotten worse during the pandemic. Treat customers poorly, been charged up manually for bogus costs. Won't give more than 2 sauces and have to fight every time to get more.
Love getting food there but hate how they treat customers. I've had countless arguments about getting extra green sauce. Stingy for no reason because before when you could serve yourself they wouldn't say anything about taking 5 sauces but now they act like that's their whole inventory. Don't even get me started on substitutions on the food
*Edit: food just keeps getting better while employees keep getting worse. Loved the sauce packet design, but no matter how much food I order they always try to limit to 4 sauce packets only. Ordered 7/19 10:48pm cashier had glasses and rude about interaction with sauce. Kept trying to charge for every 2 packets, no basis for extra charge, had originally said he would give total packets over speaker and then laughed in our faces about giving us the extra amount of sauce for rest of food. Mentioned it's 4 packets for medium fries even though we had...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family have come to this place for a while, never had any problems at all in until today. We ordered a rather large meal through drive thru, received what we assumed to be our entire order, but when we got home we noticed 3 meals were missing. My sister & I drove all the way back to tell them & just told them about the mistake. Instead of simply saying "ok we're sorry", a man who identified himself as "Omar" laughed in our faces saying "really?" like we were lying. Well my sister doesn't take anything lightly & preceded to ask him why he'd laugh when we just wanted our food. We never accused anyone, just said we didn't receive our food. I'm a non-confrontational person & it irritated me to see that I'm essentially being mocked because I wanted what I paid for. I feel like this Omar person lied about his name and continued to laugh about the situation, thinking it was a joke. The food may be good, but to deal with someone who doesn't take anything seriously & accuse us of lying when I live clear across town, it's...
