If you ask me whether I want a soup or sandwich, I will most likely pick a sandwich. I have always loved sandwiches and can make some good ones but, if I donāt feel like making one on my own, I love coming to Quik Stop Subs.
Quik Stop Subs is a small āmom and popā shop that offers a selection of hot and cold subs, salads, soup, and pasta. My go to here is The Godfather, from their Specialty Subs menu.
THE GODFATHER is generously packed with ham, capicolla, salami, roast beef, turkey, and provolone cheese. I ask for āeverythingā in it (i.e., lettuce, tomato, red onion, pepperoncini, Italian dressing, mayo and mustard) and itās served in a delicious, slightly toasted bread. I LOVE their bread here! It has that crusty and crispy exterior, with a chewy yet fluffy center. One bite in and Iām already hooked!
Iāve also tried THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE (ham, capicolla, salami, and provolone cheese) and it was good but not as great as The Godfather IMO.
By the way, their POTATO SALAD is phenomenal!! It was so good and easily one of the top 3 potato salads Iāve ever had. It is unique yet comforting at the same time. Itās creamy and highly addicting. I canāt even replicate it if I could. You have to try it for yourself.
The customer service is fantastic and it really shines. The sweet lady is always so friendly and cheerful. I can tell she really values her customers.
Although itās a small shop, they actually have about half a dozen tables inside and a few unshaded patio tables outside. Inside the shop, thereās a wall full of Marilyn Monroe posters, as well as James Dean. To the side, youāll even spot a Marilyn cut-out. Being so close to the March ARB, they have a wall honoring and supporting military and veterans. I love that!
Thereās plenty of parking right in front of the shop but the lot is shared with the neighboring businesses.
As mentioned earlier, they are located just north of the March ARB on Cactus and Elsworth in Moreno Valley. They are behind the Carlās Jr. in what looks like a run-down business plaza.
Overall, I am a fan of Quik Stop Subs. Itās a simple and welcoming shop with friendly employees and loyal customers, with a selection of fantastic subs and homemade potato salad. I highly recommend giving them a try if youāre in the area. Be sure to check their business hours to make sure theyāre open. I hope you give Quik Stop Subs a try and that you find this shop to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time ever trying this place and I will not be back. Ordered a chef salad over the phone, specifically asked for pepperoncini's to be included on salad and when asked which dressing I picked oriental. At no time was I told it would be an extra charge for the dressing due to getting it on the side and not on the salad until I picked it up and the price was more than expected. Then when I opened the container (after getting to the place where I was going to eat it, and not at the restaurant) I was very dissatisfied. It looks like they bought a bag of garden salad, threw some in a container, and added a couple finely chopped tomato, cucumber and onion slices along with a few croutons and half a sliced up lunchable to make it look fresh. Literally the cheese were (4)pieces of clumped up sliced yellow cheese, a couple small pieces of sliced lunch meat and that was it. WORST chef salad I've ever paid $10+ for. Definitely will not be back. Oh and the pepperoncini's that I had asked for, I got 1 slice of a pepper in the whole salad, not even a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUsually a great place to get a sandwich. I dont know about any other sandwiches here because every time I get to come here I get the godfather sandwich and a drink. But today was terrible. Order my usual to go. As I'm 3 minutes away I take a sip of the coke that is over iced and not even a coke. Diet maybe? Turn around and go back. Not having time to figure out the coke machine I just ask to get a bottle of coke and be on my way. Get back to work to eat and find out the only thing I asked not to put in my sandwich. Onions. Is all in my sandwich... completely disappointed and unsatisfied with the whole thing. Questioning if I'm ever going back.... which is terrible. Good reliable places to go that aren't chains are hard to come by. But I can see why mediocre franchises are so popular. Everyone knows not to expect good food. Quick stop really let me down with this one. Hard earned money...
