I had a splendid dining experience at this Mexican restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the vibrant ambiance was welcoming, and the friendly staff were incredibly knowledgeable, recommending the perfect dishes that highlighted authentic Mexican cuisine. The standout dish for us was the Steak Picado. Exceptionally flavorful, with a medley of spices playing off each other, the dish was deliciously satisfying. Plus, the portion was quite generous, easily providing enough food for two. Despite such high-quality food and service, the pricing remained impressively reasonable, making for an overall excellent value. There are only two places I love to eat when I visit Moreno Valley. One is Papa's India Grill and the other is Mexican Kitchen. Located right across Cactus Avenue from March Air Reserve Base, this place may be low on atmosphere, but the service is always friendly and the food excellent. I love their cheese enchiladas and always order them with green tomatillo sauce rather than red sauce. Their chip and salsa selection is almost as good. I only wish they added zanahorias, the spiced and pickled carrots, to their salsa offerings. Their chile relleno is also excellent, but it's the enchiladas that keep me coming back. I stopped here on a Monday after work to pick up some dinner. This small restaurant in this strip mall was a good option. I ordered a taco and tamale dinner that also came with chips/salsa, and rice and beans for about $7.50. My drink was horchata. It was all very good. The tamale was unusual, as the beef was on top and not inside the tamale, but it was tasty with a hint of sweet like a green corn tamale. The taco was carne asada and had a couple unchewable pieces, but had a good taste. There is a small salsa bar with chips. I tried three of the salsas and all were yummy. I would definitely go back.
