Went around 8:35-8:45pm on 8/19/25, went with my lady to get some quick subs before we went home after some shopping. Saw this location was open but closing soon (they close at 9pm), so we went briefly before they closed. As we got there, there were two ladies, one was mopping and cleaning whilst the other lady behind the counter was kind of just there. She had already closed the ingredients booth behind the counter. As we walked in the lady behind the counter yelled at us telling us “NO CARD ONLY CASH”, which was fine, we were paying with cash anyways. However still an inconvience for some. Anyways besides the point, there was not even a “welcome” to us as we entered or any smiles or anything. The two ladies just went quiet as we walked in. The lady behind the counter had the most extremely angry, driest, “i don’t want to be here i’m not happy being here” look on her face. Absolutely sour. She was rude to my lady and I even though we were being 100% respectful, and she just was extremely unhappy serving us. We also asked for Italian herbs and cheese footlongs, and she gave us 9 grain wheat bread. We didn’t want to tell her she grabbed the wrong bread because she already seemed annoyed/upset. She was being rude already as is and we didn’t want to stir anymore issues. She needs to smile more. It’s FREE to smile!!!! And it costs NOTHING to smile!!! I have been to this location a billion times it seems, and never have I ever been served this way. I work customer service, both retail AND fast food, I NEVER treat any of my Guests’ this way. They pay for my paycheck, without them I wouldn’t have a paycheck to receive every week/every other week. Read moreEDIT: June 9th, 2024 - Just thought I'd let you know, franchise owners, that you just lost a $30.00 a week Sunday customer, because your one hired hand "Darla", refused to serve me. I regularly buy two foot-longs, on Sunday evening, right before work. Looks like I'll have to find another Subway. I had been coming here, EVERY Sunday, for over 2 years!! 👋👋
Hired help is exemplary (except for Darla) and what keeps me coming back here, every Sunday. As far as the franchise owner(s), well, they (as like most franchise owners), leave little to be desired, hence the 4-stars, and not 5. They continue to raise their prices, even before the $20.00 minimum wage (I remember $5.00 foot-longs!!!), but the bigger grievance is that they teach their employees to scrimp on specific products. Lettuce must be cheap, because the staff pile that on, however, I'm not ordering a salad. But other items, like sliced onions, they put like 4 PIECES!!! 😳🤷♂️😠 I've been told I can ask for more, and they'll comply, but......really?? These are the reasons WHY I stopped going to ANY Subway, decades ago......because their sandwiches were nothing but lettuce on bread; BARELY ANY meat and cheese!! I only started returning a couple of years ago, at this particular store, for a change-of-pace from Jack-In-The-Box, adjacent to them. And to see if they had changed how they do business. They HAVE gotten better, which is why I keep coming back, EVERY Sunday, to get 2 foot-longs, which is 4 meals for me. Afterwards I ordered my sandwiches and I advised her I have a coupon for 2 foot long sandwiches for 13.99 she rolled her eyes at me and told me my coupon was expired I told her it was not she said the expiration date was cut off mind her I told her I clipped the coupon wrong and if I can speak with her manager she said no, and told me she can’t do that.
