I recently dined at this new Mexican restaurant, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a vibrant yet cozy ambiance that made for the perfect dining setting. The food was absolutely delicious—starting with the fresh, crispy chips and flavorful salsa that had just the right amount of kick. I ordered the molcajete, and it was a showstopper! The sizzling mix of meats, vegetables, and rich, savory sauce was packed with bold flavors and served in a traditional stone bowl that kept everything hot and delicious. To complement the meal, I had a sangria margarita, and it was the perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and refreshing. The service was attentive and friendly, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. If you're looking for authentic Mexican flavors with great drinks and a welcoming atmosphere, this spot is definitely worth a visit!

When I got to Chapala I was not sure what to expect. The place looks new and is very clean. Not the hole in the wall spots I am used to: There were some of my favorites like a seafood molcajete, Mojarra frita, and tacos de tripa. So we decided on those items except the Mojarra was a la diabla. As a spicy food lover with most places not at all touching my spice limits the Mojarra was the best I've ever had. The tacos de tripa were very good but with the red sauce on the side there a complexity of flavors I have never tasted for such a simple dish. The seafood molcajete was yet another homerun. The sauces here are one of a kind. They are rich, savory, and spicy. I will be coming back again… and again… and again. Also, this is at 810 Tennant Station not Tennant Ave. Right next to the theater in the Safeway parking lot. Directions on your phone may lead you behind a church.

Decided to grab something light after our movie. Thought the place was new and ut turned out they just opened in December. Great decor inside and out. Service was fabulous by greeter, buser, and waiter. Chips were delicious, and the salsa was spicey but just right. My wife and I shared a chicken super burrito and carne asada taco. The meat was crispy but tender and juicy. Under $20 for both. We will be back!!!

My brother and myself had gone in to grab a quick beer at this restaurant before going next door to watch a movie as soon as we walk in the notice that the restaurant is extremely hot felt like 80 degrees we decided to stay and still grab a beer the first server came over and didn’t say anything to us no hello or welcome in just kinda stared at us when then asked if we could sit at the bar and said oh sure we go sit down and look at the menu and quickly decide what beer we want the server passes us a couple times as he more focused on Lint rolling his shirt than serving the two customers we are then approached by another server who’s name is Sebastian and he immediately approaches me and says “how old are you “ not hey can I see your ID real quick after this me and my brother ordered our beers but decided to just cancel our order because of the overall service and attitude Then to top it off when we cancel our orders Sebastian says “perfect” like we were unwelcome customers if you want customer service and don’t want be sweating while you eat...

Sadly, the days are numbered here. We’ve been here several time because the food is some of the best in town. However each time we go the service continues to get worse. Tonight there was nobody in the restaurant when we got there and the staff seemed ambivalent about us coming in. Once sat our server mostly disappeared. Our drinks were wrong, and were remade half-assed, then a huge wait to place our order. Once the food came it was quite good as expected but we never saw our waiter again, never got to reorder more drinks or get water refills, and if there had been a problem with our food they wouldn’t have known. Another couple came in but even with the four workers they never showed any effort to actually service customers. Our waiter spent most of the time on his phone and cleaning as if they were already closed. Lastly, beware…they charge an extra service fee for non cash payments, so I just deducted that from what tip I did leave. I’m disappointed. I had hoped this place would be a regular dinner date for us, but we...
