First and foremost, this restaurant is amazing! Great food and great service!
I tried this place one weekend, after driving by it many times since my return to Morgantown last year, and I enjoyed the atmosphere and most of all the food.
First, let’s discuss the atmosphere. It is a small place, with just enough decorations to make it feel right for the food you are about to order. The owner is very nice, and she serves food and takes care of the customers in a friendly, fast and efficient way. I have been there twice within a week, and everything is as good as my first visit.
Second, The Food!
I tried the Potato Cake and Bulgogi on my first visit, and all of the food was outstanding. Large portions for the bulgogi, that were seasoned and prepared properly, and the presentation was terrific (the bulgogi was sizzling on the tray)! The potato cake starter was a good size, and had all of the seasonings, veggies and seafood promised in the menu.
My second visit was with my uncle, and he had the bulgogi (which I tasted, and the quality was consistent and very good I might add). He said that it was very good, and I will take his opinion very seriously! I had the Sushi Lunch with three rolls two Philly rolls and a salmon roll. Their sushi is just as good as the other dishes I had, and each roll has 6 pieces. It was presented on a tray with a plastic inverted lightbulb with an animal inside. It was a cute conversation starter, as my uncle and I talked about for most of our lunch.
Overall, I loved the food and the place itself, and I will be back as often as I can! Please visit and form your...
Read moreDecided to try this establishment out while staying in Morgantown for one of many visits to Ruby Memorial (Best hospital ever btw) I live in Winston Salem and there is an abundance of great sushi 🍣 in my area. I wanted to take my mom for her favorite meal. She is a Moo goo gai pan lover ! I also was having a sushi 🍱 craving. After checking reviews I decided on GTAF . First the good 😌 The soup and ginger salad 🥗 were as expected tasty warm soothing soup and fresh salad with lovely ginger dressing which had a good consistency, not to thin at all. Egg roll appetizers were hot, crispy fresh and tasty 😋. I had the volcanos roll which was delicious however the presentation was a bit strange. My mother’s Moo Goo however was a disappointment. It was very bland and barely warm. I was very sad 😞 as I wanted her to have a fabulous meal for a spirit lift. Mom gets excited about good cuisine. Restaurant was clean and had a trendy feel. Prices however reflected a much more sophisticated eatery. Tables etc were a bit worn and I assume what was a child of the owner was crawling around all over the bar top etc when left unsupervised (he was not a toddler) All in all it was a typical college town spot so don’t go in with high expectations and...
Read moreBe prepared to have your order entirely forgotten if you place it over the phone. We waited 2 hours because when we walked in to pick it up, it was not even started. Indeed, they acted as if we placed the order for the first time when we walked in. When I asked for a discount, I was told that we never ordered it over the phone, which she was clearly fibbing about, because when the order was placed again she remembered the items we ordered. Maybe I was a little demanding, but they completely ignored the presence of my friend multiple times as well as myself and this is the second time food has been really late from here. Saving grace is the food is decent, but there are other good asian restaurants in town that can make a general tsaos, egg rolls, and egg drop soup in a reasonable amount of time instead of two hours while we are extremely hungry and our time is wasted. Probably won't go back, they gave my friend a bubble tea for our time, would've appreciated at least a small discount...
