When we checked in, it was 84 degrees outside and 75 degrees in our room. We found that the thermostat was set to heat, so we switched it to cool and set the temp at 68.|We went out to dinner and returned around 9 pm, and it was 73 degrees in our room. Thinking that it may take a while longer to get cool, we went to bed.|I was unable to get a good night's sleep due to the heat in the room so the next morning around 7:30, I complained to the front desk and they said they'd have someone check it. She also said that when the hotel was full, it took a while for the rooms to cool.|We left the room and returned around 1:00 pm, and it was still 73 degrees in the room, so I went to the front desk again. They said the maintenance guy had to run out and get parts for another job, and they'd have him check it as soon as he got back.|We left the room and returned around 7 pm. to find that it was still 73 degrees in our room. I went to the desk AGAIN. This time, the maintenance guy happened to be at the desk and followed me back to my room. He said that he found the problem (missing wire nut on chilled water solenoid) and fixed it and that the unit was starting to get cold.|We went out for dinner, and when we returned a couple hours later, the temp had dropped to 71 degrees. Still not comfortable, but a little better than it was.|The next morning, the temp had still not dropped below 71, which is not a comfortable temperature for me. |The staff at the front desk never offered an apology, any discounts, or the option to move to another room. |I felt that the level of service I got was pretty bad. I should not have had to make 3 complaints to get someone to check my a/c. The girl working day shift seemed to not care at all, and the one on the evening shift was like "yes they (day shift) said something about you had complained about your a/c".|On the plus side, the room was clean, and the maid was very nice .|They'll NEVER have to worry about me spending any more money at this hotel. I will not go back and would not recommend...
Read moreChecked in and our first room smelled of smoke and dampness. Tried to make it work but ended up going to the desk and getting the room across the hall. Lady at the desk was nice. The new room had no working AC. After calling the desk they said they can turn it on, it worked for a short while. We checked out two days later with no issues. Noticed we were charged more than quoted but didn’t t say anything and figured we must have misunderstood. Two days after checkout I notice another charge for $250 that was not communicated. I called and spoke to Billy Jo. She said we would look into it and call us back. She never called so I again called and she said we were being charged for the other days we stayed in another room earlier in the week. I explained that we were not even in town on those days and it was incorrect. She said we would have to call back and speak to Liz the following day. I called the next day and spoke to Liz, after waiting a few moments she said we were being charged for a broken TV. After explaining that we did not break a TV she would have Carla call us the next morning. So Carla was supposed to call us regarding this bogus charge that was charged to our account two days after checking out. Of course she never called. I called (since she didn’t call me as stated) and got put through to her voicemail, she still never called back but immediately sent me an email stating that maintenance does not work on Memorial Day (makes you wonder about the cleaning) so that’s why they didn’t report the alleged broken TV. We checked out on Memorial Day morning and this charge was never communicated. I saw it when it pending to our account two days later (Wednesday afternoon). Not sure why it would take over 48 hours to find out the TV was broken and they can offer no valid reason. Simply a false charge and they refuse to communicate by phone...
Read moreWorst experience of a hotel I have ever had. I had a family member in the hospital and had been referred to this hotel by the guest house that was full... 1st day they disable our room keys because they had over look the fact that we had book for two nights.. Then they failed to clean our room even after we had ask them to... Then we had a parking issue where other guest were double parking and they would just say yeah we saw thatsadbthat people do that sort of thing... offered no recourse alsobthe room that they did give us was sub standard and on the floor where they held conferences so it was noisiandnkindnof damp. Theybwholenplace needs a overhaul. we were getting a discount rate of about $15 per night off what the other hotels were offering... we stayed ... each morning we go down and extend our room... they said they would hold it for us because they knew we were waiting on a room batbthe guest house. Well on 5th morning we encountered a desk clerk who had been off for two days and when we explained to her our situation all she could offer was .. your room has been booked and she did not control reservations and we would have to move to another room ... but then only thing they had were king beds and we had 3 family members.. when I made the comment that this was not right and we had other problems during the week and maybe this was not the place for us ... she threw up here hands and said I need a moment and went into the back room. I could not believe that they gave our room out without even checking with us .. I could understand if we had book this as a normal room and only for one night but we had been extending it every morning about 8 am. The hotel was not at all clean and the bread was sub standard... I wish I had spent the extra few dollars in the beginning to skip all the hassle. I give it less than 1 star...
