So I don't normally do bad reviews. But this past Sunday I was REALLY disappointed with the level of service that was being displayed not only to me but all the customers that were getting coffee. Lets start with the good, the cashier and the barista that made my coffee were excellent. The Latte was perfect that I ordered. They are the reason this review has 2 stars and not 1. Now for the bad, the manager, Her name will not be posted just her title, decided that it was a great time for a break with the line 8 deep from the register and 4 people already waiting for their drinks, food etc. Now idk why she decided to take a break she could have been at work since opening. I did try to see things from her perspective. However, as a manager, lead, whatever, it was in poor taste to take a break with 12 people waiting for an order. That was a terrible business decision to make after more people got in line, which was out the door at this point to come back from break and say hey I still have to make a "quick" phone call. By the time she got back from her break, I had been waiting 20 minutes and still had not received my coffee. Now normally I would have walked out with a refund after 10, but had I gotten back in line for that at any point from the time I waited to the time I left I would have been a minimum of at least 8 deep in line. When she came back from her break/extra break for a phone call, she slowed the coffee process down even more because she had to stop the barista from making everyone's orders to "catch up" with what needed to be done. This is the first time I have EVER had to wait 28 minutes from time I got in line to time I got coffee in hand. Majorly disappointed in the lack of leadership skills the...
Read moreWho doesn't love Starbucks once they have tried it? I am not a regular coffee drinker but I love a good "fufu coffee drink" every once in awhile as a sweet treat . My only problem with the place is how expensive it is because I am a penny pincher. Ordering a small is not an option because that only leaves me wanting more. Ordering 2 medium or 2 large (grande) runs on average $12-$16 plus any extras you might want like extra syrup, extra whip cream, or an extra shot of espresso. Is it worth it? Yes but I can only justify it once a month at the very most. How does it compare with other coffee shops? I like it better. I'm not sure if it is because this is the taste I am accustomed or if it really is better. Regardless, I always choose Starbucks when splurging on a good "fufu coffee drink". I should also mention that their menu seems to offer more variety than the competition making it a great choice for those that like to change it up from time to time. My favorite going on 20 plus years now is a Grand Mocha with a double shot of espresso and extra whip cream. The way I see it...if I'm going to spend the money, I want the calories to show for it! I know I'll have energy to work it off so it does...
Read moreThe reason to pay $5 for a cup of coffee (for me, because I am quite thrify) is because of the atmosphere and the opportunity to get together with friends. This Starbucks is severely lacking in atmosphere (definitely no European cafe vibe). I met friends, and we sat in the deli area, which is basically just a place with tables and chairs and no special look or feel. There is a small area right next to the cash register that looks a little better, but it's very open to passersby and grocery store shoppers, as this Starbucks is inside an Ingles. For this reason, there is also no drive thru. I would not have gone here if I weren't meeting friends. The latte that I...
